Elf and Drow: Rogue and FvS

I'm going to make a Rogue build and a FvS build (separate chars), but I'm having trouble choosing a race for these builds. Now I'm going to be using Elf and Drow, but I'm not sure which class to assign which. I would like your opinions (facts are good too) of which of these races are best for these classes.

If you start with at least 14 in CON then Drow can be a decent race for a Rogue, and gain advantages to rapiers and shortswords. A melee FvS using scimitars can be nice on an Elf if you choose Undying Court.

However other races than Elf or Drow would definitely be less squishy overall.

These two characters are mainly for role-playing purposes, so I'm going with unorthodox build choices here. Dual Khopesh+UMD on my Rogue and Bastard Swords on my FvS.

If you're going with - shall we say - suboptimal choices for RP reasons anyway, does it really matter? Just go with the race you want to play.

I've gone with Drow for Rogue and Elf for FvS, because of Undying Court. Forgot it existed. xD

Well, that was sort of my point: if you're NOT minmaxing your build, "better" becomes a relative term. E.g., most khopesh rogues go human for the extra feat or halfling for the extra SA enhs; elves or drow rogues usually stick to rapiers for the racial enhs. An elf or drow khopesh rogue is doable, but they don't bring anything special to the build, other than their DEX bonus, IMHO, and their CON penalty is a handicap. Similiarly, elf UC FvS builds usually stick with scimitars to take advantage of the racial & class bonuses to them, but you say you want bastard swords for RP reasons: again, doable, but suboptimal, since it costs you a feat on a feat-starved build and does lower DPS. Basically, you're asking which race is "better" for your build when the answer is "neither," IMHO - so just play what you want. :)

i still would say drows would make the better rogs and elfs the better fvs ofcourse a rapier or kopesh drow is debateble
but i would go scimitars on an elf for meele fvs if not i still go drow rog and fvs elf it seems right rp wise and who knows mebey scorpion wrath (the drow rog pre is coming soon ) and the vulkoor drow deity is considerd less then the unyielding sov (or undying court) deitys that elf bring then again gaint scorpion pets are cool XD

I agree Undying Court is a better choice than Vulkoor; in fact half the time I forget Vulkoor is even there, it's so rarely used. :p It's kind of a toss-up whether UC or Sovereign Host is better if you're not using scimitars or longswords, as the OP intends: free Heal vs free Raise Dead? If pure FvS, I'd say it's no contest between free CLW vs free Command Undead.
