Make Warforged Casters More Fair!

[Quarterling]

I play a level 20 fighter in Sarlona, and every single time I hop into the brawling pit, this level 20 warforged sorcerer kills me in less than a second. I never even get a chance to trip or stunning blow him. Also, he can even heal himself using reconstruct and repair critical wounds, talk about unfair!

Therefore, I propose the following to be done in order to make PvP more fair...

1. Remove all repair spells.
2. Make it so that meta-magic feats can not be used in brawling arena.
3. Warforged are machines and should take a -6 penalty to intelligence and charisma at the start.
4. Get rid of those food items that make you recover spell points in taverns, only HP-regen things should be sold.
5. Destroy all aspects of PvE in Dungeons and Dragons Online.

Maybe with this done, I should finally be able to beat that level 20 WF Sorcerer! If this doesn't work, I will make more threads suggesting further nerfage of Warforged Casters.

P.S. I'm too lazy to roll up an Arcane Archer, these nerfs must be done instead.

No...the Devs aren't going to nerf Warforged Sorcerers. In fact, Warforged Sorcerers have just been powerfully buffed in Update 7.

Given the new Half Elven males, Warforged are no longer the ugliest characters available as PC's. Nor do they retain the "Worst /dance2 animation" title.

just read a thread the other day where a warforged caaster was complaining about how he got his butt beat in pvp all the time by rangers. Here is my solution for all of you that like to pvp.

1) Allow no magic at all. This means no weapons, armor, items or spells.
2) Disallow the use of any special abilities granted by class, dragon marks, or anything else.
3) Give everyone that enters the exact same hps.
4) Give everyone that enters a set of robes and a quarterstaff.

Now your problem is solved. Everyone is exactly the same and if you lose it would be because you either had bad luck with the die roll, or you just don't know how to play the game.

That said, with all the recent Slayer Arrow drama I wouldn't be surprised if Update 8 was the FotR or "Fix of the Ranger" update.

You know it's on their minds! They probably just didn't want to tick too many people off since they were fixing monks already.

How many sources of people did the suggestions actually come from and how many people actually supported any of your ideas?

Once you answer that, then realise that the devs have already noticed this and won't be messing around with slayer arrows.

Well, to be fair heavy fort that anyone who leaves the pvp areas in taverns tends to get rather quickly will take care of rogue sneak attacks. :P

We can't directly see your points unless you post a screenshot. If you turned rep on we could see the long red bar though.

Neutral means you either have low pos rep or neg rep. They never bothered to set up titles for various levels of neg rep since its almost impossible to get as much neg rep as you claim and yet not get banned. So congrats on that.

If that is the case, they would have checked the source of neg rep and removed neg rep that didn't belong. If it REALLY was inappropriate, those of us that gave it would have been given warnings or infactions about inappropriate use of the rep system.

If the rep stuck, the mods agree you did things that violated forum rules.

In the past, I've made my fair share of attacks against ole Haxor. I'm not going to defend him now, but merely state something that we all have thought and even tried to point out to him in the past.

*disclaimer* any and all references in the following to PvP are meaning Tavern Brawls, since that seems to be the only place Haxor actually PvPs.

It's not entirely the fact that the gross majority of people that play this game have no interest in PvP. It's also the fact that the majority of your posts are for suggestions that are so blatantly lopsided in your favor that to actually institute some or all of them would be tantamount giving you a big fat WIN button for PvP. You insult our intelligence by disingenuously claiming it would "balance" PvP when, in fact, all you seem to be looking for is to be able to win at PvP without risk. If you were truly concerned with balance for PvP, you would mention how grossly over powered arcane casters are compared to their melee counterparts or how the most effective cleric spells are not allowed. Instead, you only want to "balance" those things that are a threat to your build.

If you look at the other PvP suggestions, you'll see that the majority are met with the same disapproval but not nearly the same disdain as yours. In the past, I've made my fair share of attacks against ole Haxor. I'm not going to defend him now, but merely state something that we all have thought and even tried to point out to him in the past.

*disclaimer* any and all references in the following to PvP are meaning Tavern Brawls, since that seems to be the only place Haxor actually PvPs.

It's not entirely the fact that the gross majority of people that play this game have no interest in PvP. It's also the fact that the majority of your posts are for suggestions that are so blatantly lopsided in your favor that to actually institute some or all of them would be tantamount giving you a big fat WIN button for PvP. You insult our intelligence by disingenuously claiming it would "balance" PvP when, in fact, all you seem to be looking for is to be able to win at PvP without risk. If you were truly concerned with balance for PvP, you would mention how grossly over powered arcane casters are compared to their melee counterparts or how the most effective cleric spells are not allowed. Instead, you only want to "balance" those things that are a threat to your build.

If you look at the other PvP suggestions, you'll see that the majority are met with the same disapproval but not nearly the same disdain as yours. I think that they want to keep him in reserve in case there are major bugs in U7 and they end up needing a distraction.

You can never compare arcane caster with a figher. As far as DnD goes, the warriors have it easy from the beginning and the second half of the game is easyer oft the spell casters as they become more powerfull.

Im for an arenas designed only for meele and only for casters but keep the ones that are for all.

There is something you should know about this thread.

A long time ago, there was a person named haxxorific or something like that, and every... single... day... he would come to the forums and make at least one or two threads suggesting to nerf arcane archers because his level 20 sorcerer would keep getting killed in the brawling arena, despite the fact that he would kill all others who would dare step into the brawling pit (at least this is the impression I got, I'm not on his server).

His posts were serious of course, and every person on the forums berated his ideas because to make the changes, it would mess up aspects of PvE as well as cost development time which nobody wants. He also set the world record for largest red bar IIRC.

Anyways, I made this joke thread to see how haxxorific would respond. Unfortunately, I recently tried to look him up, but it seems as if his forum account was deleted as their is no visible record of it even existing.

Please notice how I said joke thread, as I don't even actually have a fighter (only melees are a rogue and a pair of soon-to-be nerfed monks).
