Someone pointed out which I immidiately followed up with, but apparently if your not level 9 or higher you can not enter the Lordsmarch Palace anymore. I thought it was neat to have a shortcut into the twelve or the one side of the marketplace from there harbor, but now it's in accessible to our lowbies.
My question is was this the intention from the get go?
The reason I ask is because this wasnt like this before the update.
Thanks,
TiranBlade

I don't believe this changed. I got the message, using the lower door below Lord Poincelot, the other day on my level 5 character.

Maybe they don't want new players going in and getting lost.
I'd say something about them getting pwned in level 12 quests, but they shouldn't be able to get in them before level 9 anyway.

They should remove all quest minimum levels. More and more are being introduced and they are unneeded. If you walk into something above your level, that should be your call.

Hm, thought I got through it with some of my lowbies, but maybe it was just my level 12 and the others I didn't even use the Harbor entrance. But I thought I took some lowbies through it.
Anyways thanks for the quick response,

The continual introduction of unnecessary minimum levels is getting out of hand. We already have cases now where characters can no longer get into Adventure areas that would give them XP because they are below the 'minimum level' FFS

Ah, yes, we should once again be able to take our lvl 1 guildies into the raids so they too can get their nice raid loot many levels before they can use it..or did you forget the travesty that was VoN5/6 in the old days?

I am the one who found this.
You can not enter from the Harbor, but you CAN enter from the Marketplace and The Twelve.
It should be one or the other.
Either allow low level toons to enter from ALL entrances, or do not let them enter from ANY.
I tested this with a 4th level toon.
I put in a Bug Report already.

Maybe this was happening a lot when the cap was 10, but I don't recall it being a huge deal during my playtime. Sure, I almost got Icy Raiments from the Sub on my monk when he was level 2, and Hordo had a laundry list of raid gear on his level 6 paladin, but those situations were far from the norm.
It's stupid that we can no longer make attempts at difficult content while way under level as a challenge (ie solo Crucible at lvl 8).

Nope.
To allow level 3 lowbies who just made it to the Harbor for the first time today to stumble into Lordsmarch Palace when they should be discovering Waterworks or Cerulean Hills is a disservice to them which makes the game less inviting. Entering from the market doesn't create that problem nearly as severely.

That is a good point...
However, they will not be able to do anything there anyway. If they happen to go into the Maketplace, they can get into Lordsmach from there.
Either way really works for me I guess.
Devs, is this working as intended?

If they want to give up all that XP during flagging and running the raids, so what? It means in essance the guild short manned the raid. They still can't use the loot until they are at level. I'm not seeing the travesty. It's especially unimportant in the age of TRs since half the characters out there have raid loot in the bank at L1.

With the advent of True Reincarnation and BtA items, I fail to see the problem here...

Stray musing: shouldn't entrance to Plaza be tied to Coin Lord favour instead of/in addition of level?
Also: why a harbour entrance anyway?
:)
