Hey all, so atm i have my lamannia instaling and was wondering a few things.

What is the cost of the two races??

WHat classes will the races favor? (ex. half orc=barb)

and What grade(on a scale of 1 to 10) will you give the races??

Not sure as I'm VIP, but when you get on go see Lord Poincealot and then check the DDO Store.

Half-Orc:
Any class that deals melee DPS. Rogues, Rangers, Fighters, Barbarians...any of them. Both TWF and THF.

Half-Elf:
At the moment, I can't think of much. However, they still aren't finished yet so hopefully they'll be good.

Half Orc: All Melee/DPS Types.
Half Elves: Are a modifying class to many things, Mostly I see, Paladins, Bards, Clerics, Sorcerers, and Favored Souls with the greatest benefits. The Dilettante splashing can be too intensive ability score wise to build from some combinations.

Just because elf, halfelf, drow and dwarf all get a 1 doesn't mean orc should get a 10. It should rank about 8 with wf as despite what the "sky is falling" people are saying wf is still very competitve with orc and will continue to be.

I liked how half orcs looked.
Male h-orcs in particular looked like artists spent some quality time on them, getting textures rich and right.
I couldn't quite stomach playing them though; wholly completely different game style, and their dump stats, INT and CHA, are quite an hindrance to builds I tend to play.
Models and animations are still off.

Half elves look - quite frankly - less than attractive.
I think the "they look animeish" remark wasn't really meant as a compliment; just merciful sugarcoating.
Yes, I'm being harsh.
I could give them better looks with just a couple minutes on Paint Shop Pro.
I can't believe they spent time making new textures when they could have picked a couple choice ones and made them fit well with the rest of the crowd.
How did they feel like?
They moved like humans, which was really a big flaw in my book.
They played not unlike humans, which was the flip side.

They lack a true free feat and some skill points.
They make up with Dilettante - which counts as a mini-class splash - and some perception bonuses.
That evens out and works more or less well with what I usually play.
Are they mediocre?
Eh, maybe.
But chances are, my half orc, however sharp looking, might end up as a glorified mulebot.
My half elf, especially if they revamp looks a bit, I can see myself playing and levelling up as a recurring alt.

It'd be better if Half Elves were unlocked via total favor - perhaps at 25 or 50 total favor? And if they were 40 point builds you might just start thinking about them.

Well, Eladrin's mentioned that they might be getting lines for their racial feats... I'm basing it on that.
