whats with TR and U7

i hear alot of people talking about TR which i assume is a way to restart a toon with 34-36 ability points. but ive also heard about past life feats, are these something i should be concerned about as to which toon i should TR (granted its a good year away). i currently run a 13rog/6tempest/1monk build and would like to have a 3monk 17acrobat or something similar soon.

u7 seems to promise half-elfs and hal-orcs (no gnomes?) id like to see what the enhancements would be for these how do people seem to know that the horc will have 2handed feats or extra power attack, whats the helf got going for it (nothing in PnP)

Links would be good or really just any info about starting a new character (or TRing) into a monkrobat

Um.... Past life feats come in two varieties, a passive automatically given feat and a buyable feat. The passive automatic one is granted at level 1, and the buyable at level 3. All classes have varying degrees of usefulness from not useful at all to not bad, but not great (Though I personally find +2 to my spell pen on a wiz fairly useful as my passive feat).

Secondly? A year away... you must be kidding. You can run epics at your level and should be able to get 20 epic fungeon tokens fairly easy (that is unless you have no epicable packs, then yeah maybe). 20 epic dungeon tokens can provide you with a True Druidic Heart of Wood. I also suggest if you know what your tr'ing into, to gather up what equipment you intend to use on your next life that would be more class appropriate.... such as your Greensteel items and weapons and any other raid or raidlike loot. (A greensteel quarterstaff would be badass for a Acrobat rogue, and a Tier 2-3 GS Quarterstaff would be useable at level 12)

Why... exactly... 3 monk and 17 acrobat. You'd be unable to really get anything from Monk 3 (besides dark or light paths), and be shooting yourself in the foot for your tier 3 of acrobat from rogue (which you have to be 18 levels of rogue for). Yes Half-Elf's and Half-Orcs are indeed in Update 7. From what information I have access to, Half-Orcs just get a boost to Str, and Half-Elves..... get... actually I'm not sure what half-elves get :P.

Be prepared though for a grind. At level 20, the exp that was needed to get there on your first life was roughly 2mil or so... on a first TR char, it jumps to 3 mil. Banking your levels is advised as it will help you :)

If you are really interested in all that U7 has to offer you can creat a toon on the Lamania server and see for yourself what new cool stuff the dev's have come up with. There are more changes than just the H-orcs and H-elves.
