I have looked quite a bit on the solar phoenix build recently, and kind of liked it. But I also thought it could do so much more, so I decided to make my own version. Currently my version has around 20% more dps against 0% fort, 10%ish more against 50%, and around 5% less against 100% fort. In addition, I have more skills, better AC, and only a little bit less healing amp. I also think I have around the same saves (perhaps a little bit worse, but not by much). HP is something I am not as good at though (I think).

If you're looking for more damage from sneak attack, at the expense of a bit of healing amp, I would consider halfling. I made a halfling build similar to the Solar Phoenix and it's an itty bitty killing machine.

Also, general question, what are you considering as the 9 armor on your dragontouched? I know you can get 3 dodge, but that doesn't stack with a chattering ring that you've already factored in. You can also get +4 natural armor but that doesn't stack with barkskin I don't believe.

I made the decision that I couldn't make AC work on my paly-monk without sacrificing too many gear slots. So, before you decide on this, make sure you know where you are going to put everything. If you want the Shintao set that's necklace and ring, jidz-tek is bracers. You're probably going to want spectral gloves as your dex item for the extra to-hit which this build needs. Chattering ring is your other planned ring. That leaves you with I believe, belt, boots, helm and cloak on which to fit strength, charisma, greater false life, heavy fort and the HP and charisma skills items you plan to have. Seems a bit tight to me, might want to review your gear plan.

Oh, I don't really know too much about AC calculations, as I have never been at a very high level, and I kind of thought that the DT robe was a +9 armor bonus, as many people had 9 beside their DT robe in AC calc. Prolly have to fix that then... Could you help me calculating the real AC potential?

And well, I have no idea of how to place gear well, because, as I said, never been at high level before :S

Looks like the build description is all over the place.

It would be desirable to see a gear breakdown. It’s easy to
write down numbers and not realize that those numbers require
six ring fingers, three necks, etc.

Considering you made a special note about wanting a high
enough int to get certain skills it would be nice to see which
skills you considered vital to acquire.

Regarding numbers breakdowns:

Please list separately what you can do yourself. Then in a
separate area list what other people contribute. (ranger bark, DoS aura, etc)

Be cognizant of your actual raiding situation when listing certain
effects. If you never group with DoS III characters then don’t rely
on that buff in your main calculations.

Boosts and/or highly situational effects should be listed separately
from anything else. This is where you can put “the stars are aligned”
stats.

Once these issues are addressed it will be a lot easier to see how

you are achieving the numbers you have listed. Then we can examine

whether or not the build accomplishes your goals. (goals would be nice to list as well)

I have checked the dps calc, and got 360 against 0% fort with this build, which is kinda good IMO. The skills I was aiming for was UMD, Intimidate, Concentration, DD, Search, and possibly OL and Spot. I think I can reach most of them. For the gear issue though... well, I dont think I can fit everything, and I dont know what slot everything takes or what everything does exactly, as I have never been at a high enough level to discover. I will need some help with that.

EDIT:
Build Goals:
UMD
Intimidate
Trap Skills
Insane Survivability
Solo Ability
Decent tanking ability
Decent dps
Having a lot of stuff to click on

I have made a character with this build, currently level 7. Did Deleras a few times, as main tank, with about 2x as many kills as second best too (not that it matters as everything in DDO seems to be focused at endgame)

I've got a Solar Phoenix build I've been playing, level 11 now. Wanted to point out one thing, your giving up a lot of healing amp if your Wind stance/not using Jidz-tekta bracers, the 25% healing amp on that item is huge, even at low levels.

Healing amp w/o jidz-tekta and only HoTDI
= 30% human improved, 20% monk, 10% hunter of the dead = 1.3*1.2*1.1= ~176%
Healing amp w/Jidz-tekta and HoTDI
= 30% human, 20% monk, 10% HoTDI, 25% Jidz-Tekta = ~215%

so that's nearly 40% of amp your losing out on, and it only becomes larger once you add DT & GS healing amp items.

But 176% is still pretty good.

I assume you went Thief Acrobat I for The extra uncanny dodge uses, and +4 Dex boost for AC/saves purposes. That i'll give you +6 AC boost and +6 reflex (Need 8 rog to get improved).

Dropping Shintao I is a DPS loss too, as it got a major boost in update 7. (though you save 2 feats)

Shintao Monk I:
* Benefit: You guide others on the path of enlightenment, leading by example. You gain the ability to expend ki to smite 'tainted' creatures (aberrations, extraplanar creatures that are not Lawful Outsiders, and undead). You gain +2 to Diplomacy, Heal, and Intimidate, and a permanent Protection from Tainted Creatures effect (warding against mental domination and granting a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus to saves against attacks from extraplanar creatures, aberrations, and undead). Your unarmed attacks now bypass Byeshk damage reduction.
o Shintao Monk: Smite Evil has been replaced with:
o Shintao Monk: Smite Tainted Creature
+ Cost: 15 Ki
+ Benefit: You have the ability to expend ki to deal devastating blows in melee against tainted creatures. You gain twice your Wisdom modifier to your attack roll and a damage bonus based on your monk level. A tainted target will be locked in a tomb of jade on vorpal attacks (attack roll of 20 followed by critical confirmation) on a failed Will save (DC = 10 + Wisdom Modifier + your monk level). Extraplanar Aberrations, or Undead must succeed at two consecutive Will saves to avoid their fate. This ability counts as a Light move. (Cooldown reduced to 15 seconds.)
o Shintao Monk: Protection from Evil has been removed.

So that's +2xwis mod to hit, and most likely along the lines of 7+(2xMonk lvl) dmg bonus, not to mention the vorpal effect. (paly smite is 7+3xpal lvl).

lastly check out the DDO character generator http://www.rjcyberware.com/DDO/ it will let you plan your build to lvl 20, calclualte a lot of things for you, and print out a forum templated version for review. (You probalby won't be able to squeeze in all those stat enhancments, but they are reducing the costs of improved skill to 1ap per lvl in update 7, so you'll gain some ap back on skill costs.)

The smite is kinda bugged AFAIK, and not really that huge either. Also, I am using fire stance now after seeing how I only get the 25% when having it on.
