I notice this has not been updating for some time now. Has this been looked into by the forum moderators?

I always wonder at these types of replies. Do we really think that fixing something that is broke really takes away from the game. We already established long ago that the website team, the game development team and game technicians are all different people.
They can fix this if they want and I hope they do.

there isnt so called "different teams" in any industry. overlapping job scopes are in fact pretty common, much less a board that derives its information from the game servers which would require some overlapping expertise involved. it isnt as separate as you think it is

Considering it is utilizing the same to game database interfaces as MyDDO because guild Leadershop board is on MyDDO.
... and the last time Emili on MyDDO had an update was 16/10/2009 7:38 pm like many of my character's data there. Plus I requested them to look into such a few times over the past year - and am sure many in the same rights have. Let's say I shall not wager that they'd jump at the chance to look into this. :)

This just may be the most over reaching of someone not knowing what they are talking about statement ever made. I work in the pharmaceutical industry and we have different teams for just about every aspect of the business.
Operations
Pharmacy
Screening
Laboratory
Facilities
Etc.. (yes there is more)
And none of them overlapp into each other this helps to create expertise in your area of responsibility and reduces the likelihood of errors.

this is most likely a synch issue between the prod replica and the reporting server on some specific ETLs/message queues (depending on R/T architecture). it isn't global, cause it looks like the quest log is still current.
it looks like what is failing are the equipment snapshots for the main page and the guild renown pull.

My guess are that long running queries are canceled before whole sets are being returned is all.

I thought the jobs were...
Tolero, Tarrant - CTRL+C/CTRL+V/Post ninjas of "We're working on it, thanks for your patience!" About 10 hours later than players feel adequate.
Codeshaper - Looks over everything like Monty Burns going "Excellent..."
Madfloyd - fixing, coding, working, writing, updating, dev-blogging, checking, playtesting, saving kittens from trees, and fixing the oil spill in the gulf.
(The other guys get Madfloyd coffee. With that much work, one has exacting tastes.)
I hope this thread finds devs in good humor ... >.>

i sincerely doubt they let stainer code the ETLs.
just thinking about it, its probably 1 of 3 problems -> key violation that caused an index to blow chunks, partition issue, or (since it died with the last update) someone tried to fix the deleted character problem and its causing the job to fail.

Maybe it's like that in your country but in many new economies the work environs are changing. A sales exec in companies such as pfizer, glaxo welcome has to have some technical knowledge in the drug so that they may better handle the clients requests. In an equipment manufacturer such as bio-rad, an on site cs must have knowledge of the equipment usage as well as basic troubleshooting skills
yes this places additional burden and responsiblities on the employees and many countries have not adopted it due to strong pressures from the work force. The benefit of such a system however means you know what you are doing and everyone else too. Just look into the forums, how many people wonder daily if turbine employees actually play this game to understand it better?

i think the point he is making is that there are certain demarcs in software. one of them tends to be between tools and reporting. you typically don't have the same person writing the data contracts on the live side writing the ETLs on the warehousing side. so while there may be some discussion between the tools folks and the reporting folks about why they haven't updated their data dictionary (or why they don't have one), once the ETL is implemented, its a different support channel for fixing it.

Neither am I saying that overlap must mean u hold the entire profile! Anyways we digress too much. My last post in this thread
Edit: if u want to discuss abt overlapping roles in a job place feel free to pm me. I do have a few examples

And we wonder how a little pill that is mostly talc could cost so much...
You forgot to mention the one team that controls all the other teams...

Is this intended to get fixed. If not why not just take it offline completely?
