As you may know, you need Freedom of Movement when soloing some quests. Please add this potions to potion vendors so that we can buy it.

Here you go, this is what you are looking for.
http://ddowiki.com/page/Kundarak_Delving_Boots
Honestly, I can't think of any quests where FoM made the difference between being able to solo the quest or not. But then again most of my characters have high reflex, and while most low level quests are easily soloable, I take it as a given that high level content tends to require groups, FoM or not (unless you are really well geared out and/or certain classes which have an easier time soloing).

No need for a clickie, there is ALREADY in game a PERMANENT freedom item, Kundarak Delvish Boots from Vault of Night raid. Why need a clickei when there is a permanent item ?

Eh, I could go for a clicky. KDB is the only item with FoM in the game, and the only useful buff that is only available via ONE item. Pots? No deal. Selling scrolls? Only if they start selling DD and WoF again. But a second item that could be farmed would actually be nice, and a clicky version would negate the need to devote an item slot to it.

I would like an AMrath Necklace for FoM...
They have a GH and a Jump necklace from Amrath. FoM would be cool. AND make it part of a Thief Acrobat set maybe? Since at Thief-Acrobat 2 you can not slip of be Knocked down (I think you CAN be over-run though)

That wouldn't seem to terrible. Then it would be minlvl19 as well. The problem with FoM pots is that they would again dumb down lower level quests on elite. Granted, I wouldn't mind having an even easier easy button for power leveling new characters, but it's elite for a reason and one of the most difficult parts of elite quests can be the Hold Person/Monster spells. Take that away and it pretty much turns back to zerg kill zerg zerg kill.
Bacab
09-10-2010, 07:04 AM
Yeah. That was exactly my logic.
With the Amrath belt having a high minimum level it would not make lower level quest trivial.
TBH you can zerg/solo most Harbor/Marketplace on elite at level...unless you get Sleet Stormed or Held.
By putting it in with a level 18 ML you also do not make Kundarak Delving Boots trivial.
Many people would argue that the Boots or the SoS are the "Best" item from VoN6.
Also getting FoM in pot form would mean that you can get it before a caster of it could get it.
One of the reasons I like playing FVS or Ranger or Bard is because of that spell.

I rarely wish I had FoM. Only one of my characters has the boots, so it is not like all my characters have them.
Increase you WISDOM to lessen the chance of being held. Increase your STRENGTH so webs don't get you as often. You can do that with tomes and items.
Increase your RESISTANCE saves can be accomplished with magic items, cloaks and rings. Gravnok's band from The Captives is available for level 2 characters and is a FREE to play quest.
If you are a DROW I think your spell resistance can counter that spell. I never check what spell resistance counters in game and I have never even looked it up.

Yeah make buffers totaly usless. Next GH potion please. After that Displacement. Next fireshield.
Why not:
- It is team oriented game. It has been done quite solo frinedly anyway. Beside if you solo than hold isn't just only few (lie 2 or 3) seconds? It is not time when in Xorian Cipher you could be turned to stone for whole 15 or so minutes.
- Yet another potion YOU HAVE TO HAVE in your inventory. For solists elitists maybe good but person without 5 banking toons can have problems with carry every single potion, and stuff for "future sell", and shards of power for shroud crafting, 4*2 dual weapons sets (that is still a bit too litle anyway).
- It make clerics go like: "I don't giving any FoM you didn't took it you are FAIL"

it used to be a scroll at some point, but imo there should def be an item 15+ that has it on it that isnt from a raid so it is farmable, i've been playing for 4 years and dont have a pair of boots on any of my characters as it is all elusive! i only see it drop one in a ton of tries too, i have seen many sos's tho...
but for now so long as we got cookies im fine i guess as the spell is not necessary for soloing content, classes that get it have a much easier time soloing on elite tho. and i dont use fom for stuff like sleet storm or grease, i use it for flesh to stone, hold monster etc... stuff that straight up kills my characters that aren't WF.

This.
However, wands are supposed to go to level 4. I want my Death Ward, FoM, and Restoration wands, even if only in loot gen.
We already have Stoneskin and Holy Smite. I really don't understand why we get some and not others.

Sleet storm in tear of dakhaan (spelling?) can get pretty nasty sometimes.
A clickie wouldn't suck.
A store potion would be nice. Elitists would scorn it and new kids would use them to help fund the game.
Drama for the vets, usefulness for new players, money for the game. Win on all accounts.

One of the reasons I like playing FVS or Ranger or Bard is because of that spell.
Having a FoM clickable would take away some of the enjoyment of playing those classes...
I used to have a ranger/wizard.... Jump, Shield, Haste, Displacement all were very useful spells....
Now they are all available via clicky form... The archetypal fighter/wizard from D&D is a pointless character in DDO... You can just be a pure fighter and STILL have access to all the good low-level wizard spells...

I'm fine with a ML:18 FoM clickie, be it from Amrath or IQ or anything else similar.
KDB are nice, but an unlucky person could wait 60 days (yanno, 20 raid completions) and still not get/roll on them. Amrath stuff is "farm"-able, as long as a toon is not teh suck.
And yes, the Festivus Cookies are FoM clickies. If you didn't stock up in July, wait till X-Mas! :) That can be a little treat to yourself for the Holidays. Also, I'll take all those nasty Hezrou cookies off your hands. Win-win situation, yeah? XD

OMG...60 days...its the end of the world as we know it.
Really....60 days...you want to come in and claim this is too long to wait to earn nice loot.
The WOW mentality in this place is really starting to show.......geez i guess everybody should walk in be able to cap toons in 30 days and know everything in 60.

oh wait. We already have cure pots and haste and rage and resist. Staples called. They want their easy button back.

I would be ok with adding FoM potions as long as they had a significant downside as the silver flame Heal potions do. Oh and it should be a 400 favor free agent reward.
Something along the lines of "Gives you a -25% attack and movement speed penalty until the effect wears off".

I have not played, nor do I have interest in playing, *that* game.
I'm suggesting that I would be comfortable with a (possibly) attainable FOM Clickie that is ML:18 from a quest, as opposed to a ML:13 Perma-FOM Item from a raid, which is much more powerful than a clickie.
Try to take the statement for what it is.

I agree that an FoM clicky with three short duration charges or one long duration charge would be great for melees.
Casters can already do things like insta-kill mobs, kite through AoE, summon fighter pets, self heal and self buff, without any limiting factors besides in-game plat or turbine points, using pnemonic pots. The best a melee can do is cast short duration buffs or heal scrolls by heavily investing in the UMD skill and gear.
There are a number of decently powered clickies missing from this game besides FoM, including shield, blur, heal, resist energy 30, protection from elements 120 and recitation.
Casters are already massively over powered with the availability of limitless spell points. At least give melees a fighting chance by letting us have an option to bypass stupid, obstinate or self-important casters who won't pass out basic buffs.

WF casters + store bought SP pots are the biggest easy button in the game period. Nothing else in the game even comes close to how OP they are. No amount of short term clickies will ever come remotely close to unbalancing the game like they do.
Note to neg-reppers, moderators, the politically correct and drama queens: This is my real opinion, I'm not trying to troll this thread, I actually believe what I post.
