New barb..weapon question

Hi..new player almost..Barb is my 2nd toon. Not sure about weapons. Was thinking greatsword but My question is..what do most use..I am a human...and I haven't noticed anyone weapon focusing on specific ones in their build. Did I miss something? Jsut not sure on this for enhancemnets and so forth.

If you can use the SoS while you level it would be a good idea.

it doesn't really mater. just use two handed weapons. you will want to ether a great axe a great sword or a falcon.

Your a barb. If you use a MW GA till level 6, you will still probably outkill everyone :D

Falchion is the best, greatclub is the worst, the others are pretty much all the same.
As barb you can use what you want basically.

But do you all weapon focus and specialize and such? Havnet seen any in the builds here..

Weapon Focus provides +1 to hit with 1 weapon type (Slashing, Blunt e.c.t.) and Barbs already have high to hit along with limited feats it is not worth the investment. Weapon specialization is only available to Fighters level 4 and up and as a result Barbs cannot take it.

Barbs normally end up taking IC slash which means you can use everything but the maul and greatclub equally well.
You shouldn't pick weapon focus when its not required for some PrE or something like that, its pretty bad as a feat by itself.

Many of us will make a min2 maul to cover blunt DR-bypass, and this has the keen attribute built in :) Maybe one day we'll get spears or some other two handed piercing weapon, but to be honest - there isn't much use for pierce in this game... vale spiders are the only thing off the top of my head I can think of.

Weapon Focus has a lot more value for other classes than it does for barbarians. I have it on my monk, for instance.

Human barbs can use any 2 handed weapon.

I'd recommend any except for a great club and a quarterstaff
