Righteousness (+2 attack and damage versus evil).
When I use a weapon with this suffix vs evil monster like a kobold the attack is the same. So if my base attack is +18 when I attack them the dice says +18 and no +20. Anyone knows why?.
About damage I don't know why this would be a lot more difficult to test.

It's possible the kobold is neutral.

If I remember correctly, righteousness deals an extra 2 damage against creatures with "overwhelming evil". To me, a kobold, while evil, is not overwhelming. Arcane skeletons, however, seem to be overwhelmingly evil. I have not seen a list of creatures against which Righteousness works.

While that is what the description says, it used to work against all evil creatures. Maybe they finally fixed it, or broke it depending on your view.

After more test. At last this is just used vs undead. So "overwhelming evil"= undead

You can check the D20 SRD for the definition of overwhelmingly evil creatures. Simply look at the spell Detect Evil and it will list creatures who would detect as Overwhelmingly evil.
Examples:
Undead(You found that one out)
Evil Clerics(easy to spot, hit the guy who is spamming searing light on you)
Evil outsiders(also easy to spot)

If true, this is an unfortunate nerfing of the righteousness effect, which was barely on par with pure good when it affected all evil critters.

Blargh!
Sneak-Nerf. :(
Before it Righteousness was okay, but slightly below "Pure Good" as it worked on less enemies.
Now its another rubbish enchantment found on random loot.
Theoretically better than such goldies as those +4 shatter ones, but still not worth picking up and wielding if you have at least a little bit of resources to spend on equipment and arent a totally new player.
/have to resort my low-level weapons mule....

Why would they nerf an effect that was already inferior in general to pure good? It was an acceptable alternative before since it would help boost your to-hit in the low levels against almost all enemies at the cost of 1.5 damage, but now in the large majority of situations it's not worth the trade off. Sad panda. :(

Rightousness is working fine against ALL evil mobs. Just ran around the harbor with an new build. With my +1 Starter Fire Greatsword, I'm getting base +15 to Hit, With a +1 Acid of Rightousness, I'm getting +17.

Pure good doesn't give +2 to hit. Righteous is very useful at low levels when you're still having problems hitting.

I don't know what bug the OP is reporting. Did you by mistake dual wield oversized weapons and incurred a further -2 to hit? I tested a +1 heavy mace of righteousness and a standard +1 heavy mace on undead and kobolds. All got the extra +2 to hit.
