Hello
I've made a new character, it's now Rog1/Wiz1, and whenever I use a rest shrine, it doesn't heal all my hitpoints (I have 43, and sometimes it heals just 15 hitpoints). I have another character (Fighter/Cleric) and it always always healed me to full hitpoints whenever I used them with that one. Is this normal, or am I the only one getting this?
It also seems that my 2nd character heals slower than the first one in taverns/cities. Does that have anything to do with it?

The Heal skill determines how many hit points you get back at rest shrines.
The Heal skill is based on Wisdom.
However, don't invest in the Heal skill, it's really not worth it.
Rest shrines will eventually be more about getting your clickies, boosts, and other abilities back then getting hit points back.
Just use the shrine to get back what you can and then use pots, wands, clickies, what have you to top yourself off.
BTW, look for Sustence items with the highest plus to your Heal and swap those in just before you shrine and even use a skill boost if you have one left before shrining to get more out of your Heal skill.

Rest shrines won't heal all you hps back. Points in the heal (or repair for wf) skill would help, but is not recommended.

You do not automatically heal all the way at rest shrines. You heal according to the highest heal skill among party members nearby. I'm guessing your Fighter/Cleric has enough WIS (and ranks in Heal, perhaps) to heal himself completely. Your Rog/Wiz does not.

I suspect this is just your imagination. You should be healing 1HP every few seconds on both characters.

Yes, that is normal.
Rest shrines only heal a certain amount of hitpoints, based on your heal skill. Opposite to that, if you got a pool of spell points, that one gets fully restored.
So usually anyone with heal spells helps healing the party before using a rest shrine, and then everybody restores their spell points with it.
Also the amount of time needed to heal around public areas/taverns depends on the amount of hitpoints you have. The more you have, the longer it takes to fully heal (something around 2 hitpoints every 10 or 15 seconds or so in public areas, double amound in taverns - correct amount may vary, i am not good at remembering that stuff lol)
Now you shouldn't fall into the trap and put skill points into your heal skill... they are better put elsewhere as you usually have someone who can heal you up in party all the time - be it a hireling or whoever.
Really interesting that your rog/wiz seems to have more hitpoints than your fighter/cleric... you might should take the time and read a bit through the build forums what stat you should have at the beginning with certain classes :)
*edit* gah, 3 other answers in the time i typed that... need to improve my typing skill XD

Thanks for all the answers! :) I tried reading about rest shrines and din't find it. My Ftr/Cler doesn't have any points in Heal, so I guess just the bonus from Wisdom is enough.
And @boomeranky: I don't know what I wrote that made you understand that, but my Wiz/Rog doesn't have more hitpoints, at level 2 my Ftr/Cler had about 70-80 hp I think, which is a lot more than my Wiz/Rog.
