1. Yes, several months ago. where've you been?
2. Rumour says WB want to make some customer experience improvements (improved consultation, devs being forced to spend time in game every now and again if they don't already that sort of thing). Whether these rumours are true no-one knows, but its far more likely WB are only interested in the LOTRO property, with a bit of a sideline in understanding how F2P can be doing so well, and making it do even better. I think as a corporate entity they're very confusled by F2P and can't quite believe it works. So without understanding it they've bought it just in case...
