Is underwater combat only in the new Redfens AP, or in all quests?
I tried fighting zombies under water in Recovering the Lost Tome, but it did not seem any different than before Update 6. (Meaning it did not work.)

There's only a small section of one quest (Enter the Deep, the final, capstone quest) in the Red Fens. And even then, it's not really underwater combat:
It's essentially just ground combat, but with slower movement, stranger jumps, and different damage for fire/elec effect. There's no application of the potential 3D nature of it at all.

Only in into the deep and only in a portion of the map.
It is possibly the worst type of combat available. Permanent fly with no control of height.

I would be utterly disappointed if the proposed underwater combat will be similar to the Into the Deep of the Red Fins.

That IS the proposed underwater combat...and yes totally underwhelming.

I thought Into the Deep was a very good and visually beautiful quest; and I liked the underwater portion.
The problem may be that it was hyped as real underwater combat, which makes people think 3D swimming around and all that. It was actually more like walking along the ocean floor. Expectations may have been set too high, but the quest (and the pack) are very good imho.
It would be great if later they develop swimming combat, which I remember from Everquest. Maybe have an entire zone underwater, with mobs that tend to dispell waterbreathing spells.
