The purpose of this character is to be able to disarm every trap in the game. I don't know how hard the hardest trap in the game is to disarm so I just upped the disable device skill a ton. I'm using character planner 3.5.1 and it doesn't have all the rogue capstones so the one I picked is just a placeholder for deadly shadow. I really don't know how high I need to get my disable device skill so I'm hoping someone who does know will help me here.

I think the hardest trap in the game has a dc of 44. Meaning with your build you just have to rely on your luck of the roll of the dice.

The hardest trap in the game is the Cabal for One trap, which has a DC in the mid 70s, I believe.

This build maxes out at (non-boost, self-buffed, with the best gear), for DD:

40 + 3 [int item] + 15 [DD item] + 3 [Ventilated Bracers] + 2 [Head of Good Fortune] + 6 [+INT skills shroud item] + 4 [Greater Heroism] + 7 [+5 tools; cheap on the AH] = +80

Another +7 with boost and bard song.

That said, I have to say that focusing on traps is not the greatest use of a Rogue's talents. There aren't many traps that are important to disable, and the ones that are aren't very difficult. My Rogue-splashed Bard gets them easy.

Rogues are DPS classes; that's where they truly shine. I'd recommend Improved Crit and Power Attack above SF: DD and Nimble Fingers. Those feats are major DPS, and the trap feats are really unnecessary.

I have 3 rogues. A rogue/monk acrobat based on the big fn stick build you see in another thread in this forum, a drow rogue assassin that I just got to level 7 which is the rogue I intend to dps with, and this third rogue which I intend to bring out specifically for the hardest traps in the game. I intend to have the third rogue be dps specced until level 20 and then until I get her all the loot she needs to increase her disable device to as high as the best trapmonkey loot can. Once she's level 20 and I get her this loot I intend to lesser reincarnate her into a super trapmonkey. I really like my acrobat rogue but that build is gear intensive and I'm just not lucky enough to get the drops I need. When I was trying for the icy raiments I did get a sunblade which is nice for my drow assassin since drow have enhancements that increase the effectiveness of shortswords. The thing takes permanent damage like a mofo though. I should bind and attune it probably. What I'm trying to acquire here is the best build for a super trapmonkey elf.
