As of this point I have officially decided to multi class a toon.

I have a ranger, barbarian, cleric, wizard, bard, monk, and a rogue most up to level 20, but they are all pure breeds. i found this to be fun, and i have enjoyed my time with being pure, But now has come the time to roll up a gimp. i dont mean this in a derrogitory way, I used the gimp roller and found a very interesting build i never would have thought of myself, not to mention all my other toons are gimps as well.

anyway i bring it to the masses to see how you guys like it, and how you think i could make it worse, or improve it. it looks so far like i am going to be able to have a decent AC, but am really bad at calculating such things, so if you could help me out in figuring out what AC I could have that would be great as well. No too heavy on the unobtanium like the chattering ring, but I am sure you get my point, here it goes;

stick to pure builds. I dont think you can mess them up anywhere near as bad as this pile of dung.

+1 for using the word "unobtanium"

So...instead of giving him advice you basically just taunt him and move on? NICE MOVE!

You do know about the whole Gimp character creation thing, right? Where you randomly generate a class mix and then try to make the best of it?
---
Anyway, I dont think this build will offer as much to a group as it could later in the game; It will probably solo pretty well though and it will fill any extra raid/group slots after main rolls are taken care of.

If you dont mind deviating from the Gimp Roller a bit you should consider going WF and grabbing quicken, which would make you self sufficient. Not being a drain on group resources is a major boon to Gimps, Intentional or Accidental.

I think Planning out a random character kinda defeats the purpose.... Or maybe not.....

Fighter 4 only makes sense if you take Weapon Specialization. Weapon Spec gives +2 damage per hit. But problem is that fists base damage also goes up with more monk levels. So fighter levels don't make much sense.

Wizard 7 is not so bad. But makes 10 times more sense if you go Warforged. Self buff and self repair. Plus you can also add some racial power attack enhancements for extra damage.

Oh, and FW at higher levels is not as impressive as people think.

Ok...explaining the process here:

You can either roll a die, or use the random class selector. It determines what classes and at what ratio; he could be a 1 wizard/14 monk/5 rangeror any other combo that is alignment legal. Some people mess around with what they get to make it more enjoyable/make more sense, but that is basically it.

This isnt an optomized build. Nor is it a theme build, an "Exploit the balls of 1 particular thing" build or even a "do a few things pretty well" build. Its a "What the hell do I do with 6 cleric, 7 ranger, 7 sorc???" build.

I would HW the guys that didnt know that...but...

---
Anyway, once you have the classes chosen, its like any other build; you figure out what its good at, pick a few items you want for it and see how it does.

He seems to have wanted input on what the character will be good at, how well it will do what it can and so on...

Well then, that certainly makes sense!
