Hi Welcome to the Menectarum Desert..

I was flagging my bard for Dq last night playing with a wf sorc. We started with Wiz King finished, turned in phlyactery and moved on to OOB. Finished OOB, went to turn in quest and quest-giver speaks to me as if my job is not finished. Ok no problem, it's quick and I might get some spectral gloves so off I go to do it again. Finish again, turn in again and same story. Now I drop the quest and retake the quest and repeat again today and everything is fine.

Moving on to Chains of Flame, I run through the quest with sorc , bard and another guildy piking at the front door. I get all the way to end fight and the door won't open. Objectives say I am missing the Royal key. I go back throught the entire quest back-spacing and there is no key so I put in a ticket. The GM is prompt and says he will spawn a new boss to drop the key and then decides to just spawn the key itself which falls at my feet. I open door and kill the end guys, loot the orb and no quest completion. In goes another ticket and again the same GM and again very promptly completes the quest. GT back to town, talk to quest giver with sorc, get end reward, reset quest, tab out, grab bard and its deja vu all over again. Quest giver speaks as if quest still needs running. Put in another ticket, same prompt Gm who now tells me nothing can be done since I am not in the quest.

Beware in the desert is the first thing I can say. The irritating thing is that nothing can be done if you are not in the quest, yet, if you are in the quest you cannot know that ******** programming.com is bugged and that it did not correctly advance. I think Turbine needs to find a way to fix this. They can easily see what your activity has been and see that you did complete the quest. Why not advance it for you ?

Any suggestions , other than the obvious run it again, which I realize I could have done in the time it took to type this.

Have to say I never had any of these problems. Did you run with a full inventory? The Royal key is given by the 15th (maybe 16th) slave that is freed, so maybe you didn't have inventory space or maybe you forgot to free the slaves? Because if you didn't free them you couldn't get completion.

I had freed all 15 slaves.. the only quest objectives left to complete other than optionals was the key and the two red names at the end. I later went back and did the same thing I did on OOB and abandoned the quest and went and redid it and completed my flag. I am beginning to suspect that the problem was from my having picked up the quests back when the cap was 16 and never having been flagged for DQ. I had a long break from the game and when I came back they had changed it to perma flag. Perhaps something is buggy if you had the quests picked up prior to the change.

Could be the flagging, coz u normally don't have that problem since u don't have to reflag.

On ADQ1 u still have to reflag, but the common issue is that you forget to talk to zawabi twice so it resets and restart properly.
Otherwise when you turn it in it is still starting and you have to do it again.

Been running out there regularly over last 2 weeks...have not seen this behavior ever.

When the game acted up did you try restarting the client?

Did you make sure your pack was not full?

Thats all i can think of.

As ive said i run those alot and have never seen this.

I have seen and done the dont talk twice on ADQ but never a problem....unless you didnt get the quest.

did the other guild member that was also piking at the entrance get quest completion? If not then I'd say the piking is the problem for sure. If he did then I dunno what the problem could be.

so you were getting a gm to help you cause you couldnt figure out how to get the key?

in the old days that was a reason to fire that gm (actually saw that happen in europe)
