Just OOC, got a red box and the thread title was listed as N/A.
Is this rep from moderators, or what? If so, why is it listed as N/A?
n/a means the post was deleted by a moderator, but the rep was not necessarily from a moderator.
i have a lot of those ;)

Infraction points, coming to a User CP near you :)
Funny thing is, that by asking this question you've talked about moderation of a thread on the forums and thus technically a target for Infraction Points. Without knowledge, it can be tricky at times.
Good luck.

Not entirely correct. Just because they delete a post does not mean you'll be getting infracted for it.
Her question was in regard to the rep system, not the infraction system so I imagine she might squeak by with no points for this one.

Pretty sure you got neg repped by a member. I have positive rep from a deleted post, highly doubtful it was from a mod.

that's funny
that's funnyIt's also deserved. A raw desire to neg-rep people is a good reason to not get the ability.

LOL man I almost did, but then I thought twice about it and decided not to... IMO pos reps have a lot more to do with how you package what you have to say and saying you can't wait to neg some "a**hats" is a pretty good bet to rankle some people no matter who they are.
I have copious positive and negative rep from N/A threads... most of them were threads that got ate by the cube, some of them are threads where my reply to other peoples reported posts was swept up at the same time due to quoting, and a couple are for posts that were outright "someone p***ed in my cornflakes" posts on my part. stuff happens.

agreed, i would of neg reped him but i cant.
i agree with him somewhat though, i see posts that i really think deserve neg rep and i can do anything. and it sucks.

It's not a raw desire. I'll give a "for instance"......
There was a discussion on why righteousness should or shouldn't break DR. It was a pretty good discussion (me being a big opponent against in a very very spirited debate) when someone piped in and said something to the effect that the Bible was the most evil book ever written in history. It was a completely offbase statement and I would have neg repped him until the button fell off my computer. You can pour back through every post I've ever written and if you can find one where I wasn't polite or funny I would be very surprised.
Just because I want to neg rep people who deserve it (we will call them ***hats) doesn't mean I want to openly declare warfare on the community.
Sorry for the derail.

And you would have neg repped me for wanting to do the exact same thing I would? Kind of a weird position to take don't you think?

Hey, there are definitely some posts that deserve neg rep, nothing wrong with saying you wish you could. I wish I could, I rarely want to give negs but some just cry out to be negged. Alas that my greenis is yet so small!

Just to bring this thread back on topic
I'm not sure what the difference is, but I have rep for posts that have been deleted which show as N/A and others which show the thread name but when you click the link you get a not the right permission level type message.
At a guess I'd say if the thread is deleted as a whole, it stays there with a thread name. If just your post is deleted then you get a N/A.
But certainly can't be certain

Og, I really am just asking a question about the rep system- I suspect that the thread must have been deleted and not just my post... I swear, I've written nothing controversial or offensive even in the slightest since the days of phrases.
Mostly, I've just congratulated a kid on applying for a job, talked about my 5 most fun DDO moments, posted a trade and asked a question about Earthen Guard.... that's why I asked to begin with- really just trying to figure out where it came from. I get very few negs and when I do get them, I always re-read what I posted to see why...I've received one or two for posting something incorrect (inadvertently) and going back and checking what I wrote can alert me so I don't repeat mis-information.
Thanks for clearing that up, guys!
