People need to work learning some terms used in the game, or give more thought into their LFM's.
Too many times I see something like this up:

"Loot Run, NO EXP, NO ZERGING" For tempest Spine...

I get it that they consider it a loot run, but how is it a run if the lfm poster is 2 levels over, and is looking for people up to level 20. What is the point, it doesnt make any sense if its a loot run and there is no running, or real loot involved.

Players that enjoy the slow questing should not post No Zerging, they should post for slow and full completion.
Zerging is not what the 6-10 con with zero fortification players do, what those players do is suicide.
Zerging is the opposite of those players who consistently go through a quest as a soulstone. Real zergers make their own parties and do not join yours.

Yeah its pretty bad. IDK how some players equate LOOT RUN with lets take a stroll and smell every flower.

Ahh LOL yer last post cleared it up for me.

Cause they are stupid like me and figure you are running the quest for loot. Not for zerging purposes to GET the loot.

I saw an LFM one day for one of the vale quests I believe, not sure, it stated for flagging and mats...BRING INVIS POTS... that was my clue NOT to join that particular group. For one, I dont have any and for other, it was going to be a ZERG fest.

I dont do well in those, especially in coalescence chamber. The other quests I just am not familiar enough with to be able to keep up with a zerging group, and stay alive to get the stone at the end of the quest.

Just a guess on my part but, if the leader was only two levels above the queswt and wanted a "loot run" and wanted level 20s to participate, it seems more likely that the poster wanted to be carried (is that now referred to as "piking"?)- no risk, all reward. Could be just me though.

Valid points all three.

I do see a handful of folks list "Doing All Optionals" in the description pane of the LFM window and wish more would do that.

Tell you the truth, there are very few quests that I have run to the point that I just want to get through them as quickly as possible and, of the ones about which I feel that way, it's more to me because I just hate the quest (The Pit, for instance) than because I'm bored with it.

Just get ads as written, it is not uncommon to see TS runs where you don't get xp AND you don't want to fail on a bad PUG.
Hence loot run, since it's all you get, and no zerg, coz bad PUGs on TS happens so often, at least in orien.

Note that you should still add NO XP for the few stupid people at any level that would join only to drop, seen plenty of them on orien.

Wether zerging applies only to good zergers would be ideal but sad truth is the term is used for bad rushing players as well, in a derogatory sense.

ROFL, wasn't a drama thread, so nice try. Since I never joined their party and wanted to rant. Too much bias from rude players just because you are part of a guild. I hear stuff from when I was part of Epic Fail. So i could care less from all the hypocrits who want to judge others based upon a guild. Sounds like those players are just jealous and should just go about minding their own business.

Play the way you wish, and if your not accepted, then move on. I respect the way other people play, and suggest ways to improve. But there is only so much to share before you get tired of the non-sense.

I guess mad elite skills are communication, thinking, and problem solving abilities.

LOL, You really need Elevator's mad, elite skills (which they are) to zerg TS with a bunch of 20th level characters?

Sounds like TS is a good place to consider "End Game" if you do.

The problem with this LFM, and there seems to be one like this up all the time now here.....is that the loot in TS is just bad.

You will net much better loot running GH or Orchard rares in the same total amount of time it takes you to form and run TS.....unless you have very fast zerggers.

Understood, but If you got to level 20, you more than likely have at least one of them.

If you are 20 without either of those packs, then you definitely have the Vale, which is better yet.

Likely the group leader is F2P, in loot TS runs you don't really see lv 20s, you see 13-15s mostly.

i joined one of those 'no zerging, no xp, loot runs' once. brought a lvl 20 :)

was bored, just messing around and went in quest and cleared the mobs up to the end room, without opening the chests. some of the guys knew what i was up to, but you can imagine the surprise of the party leader when he goes to take the party thru and theres empty hallways and echoes in the main fight rooms. they were actually happy that they didnt have to do the work for the loot.

all this is, is a misunderstanding of what zerging is...and theres 2 definitions depending on your experience...

to an inexperienced f2p, who has only partied with other f2p

zerging: running ahead to where healer cannot reach you and dying

the rest

zerging: well u know

Rofl, piking is always good and fun. You get something for doing nothing. But too many new players pike their way to 20, and don't know a thing. It is a pain to have to party with the clueles pikers.
