Several EU posters are quoting that they are not interested in transferring now most of the details have become clearer (subject to any further announcement Monday)
Please provide a mechanism for those that have previously opted-in to withdraw their request, thus preventing delays and unnecessary work impacting those of us that do wish to proceed.
I'm aware that some of these posters may just be blowing hot air but would like to see this approach considered as a possibility for those unhappy with the transition.
I don't believe there is a choice if you don't transfer my understanding is your toons cease to exist.
So why not transfer to NA and then if you ever want to play you can...or not...but stay on the euro servers and you are a goner.

Correct.
It is not my wish but other players who are stating as such (http://community.codemasters.com/forum/6396639-post17.html) - given the workload involved with the transition if they are serious about not wanting the transfer any longer (and losing all their alts/gear) I say take them out of the migration.

My impression was that a link has been made between potential delays and people *not* having opted in...
It seemed to me that they are awaiting a list of people's e-mail addresses from Codemasters before proceeding to the next stage.
I can't see how adding any extra levels of complication will speed things up, rather the reverse in fact...

Also the posters in question appear to believe that no solution whatsoever will ever be provided for their problems (of having been established on servers other than Ghallanda, Orien, or Cannith for many months, maybe over a year, so that this initial transfer will not provide them with their old toons in their current home). But I don't think that this has been definitively decided either way yet, from my impression of what the Turbine Staff have been telling us... There may well be a good solution for such players, so that slash and burn seems a bit premature to my mind. :D

It wouldn't be a case of pruning data afterwards but tidying up the collection list before extracting it from the master database and applying it to the server.
