Ugh beating on that portal by myself took forever..first screen shot is how far I beat it down...from there it only took 4 mins!

I checked myDDO on that Orthon on the far right . He is totally gimped. 282 HP and using a +2 Rapier of Deception...
Personally, I would blacklist him!

And that is a LOT harder to do, now that the charmed mobs won't follow you. There was one picture posted two or three years back from a bard that went into VON3's prequest and charmed every troll in there. Dozens of pink party hats!

My next question is if you charm smaller groups and keep new guys in the group do you avoid ransacking the xp?

Ooops I just didnt accidently trip over an exploit did I?

Well..4 mins to take it from like 80% to zero where myself took 3 mins to get it down 100% to 80%..and clearing all mobs around it then kiting some of them back to it and throwing up a charm symbol it really wasn't too hard, I did try kiting almost all the mobs from those first trogs and those devils and orthons at that rare devil at the tree bridge that was way harder...kiting with da red and double harried...funs...the portal ended up not even being there..

Nice job. One of my favorite tactics since the Shroud came out. I like taking newer spellcasters out into the Vale as a training ground with some hints and tips.

You can also do that same thing out on the Devil Battleground in Shavarath. :)

I've done this with Symbol of Persuasion on my Cleric out there. You could say it works like a charm. ;)

Yeah I knew you could do it out in amrath was just wondering if they would actually beat the portal or not and I know charm in shroud is a bad idea...

Oh yeah I knew they could beat the portal for sure. Used to be an easier strategy when you could charm and have them follow you, but not anymore. Still fun though. :) Obviously not for use in the Shroud raid.
