Anyone else have this problem with epics?

I've been trying with guildies, with /tells, and with lfms, but over and over I have very little luck getting together 6 or 12 level 20 people together to do epic quests with me in sands. How does everyone else find the people they need to complete epic quests?

What advice would you give to someone who doesn't have as many level 20s in his guild as you do? I should have made it more clear that I was looking for advice as well as insights

Unfortunately finding people to run Epics now have been more difficult since they changed to the "epic shard" system of rewards instead of "epic token". Fewer people are willing to run the same level of epic quest but for 1/2 of a token it seems.

Probably your best bet is to add it to the LFM during your servers more populated time, I have been fortunate and have been able to join a few non-guild/pug Epics though LFM postings in the last few weeks. Slim pickings though indeed.

i havent seen but maybe 5 epics in the LFM since they changed some of the quests to giving out fragments. i would have to say WAI. whatever the reward is for however many tokens must not be worth the grind. i ran a EVON1 once before the change and have 1 token, wasnt very useful in the raid,decided not even to go after anymore, hence my not knowing how many tokens are needed to get anything from. so good luck in your hunt to find a group. maybe the 9 hour maintance tomorrow will fix this for you.

Warm up by doing the easier epic dungeons outside of the Sands. VON1 and Bargain.

Do those a while and you can meet people to later go to tougher ones. (However, making a group of 12 for Epic Laliat shouldn't be any harder than forming any other full raid)

Keep in mind that the epics (particularly those in the Sands) are significantly harder than most other content in the game.

Run stuff in Amrath above Normal, prove yourself to be a solid player there, and ask other people in those groups 'anyone for Wiz-King Epic or OOB Epic' and you'll often get takers. Some level 17-19s will switch to level 20 mains as well.

Most Epics aren't organised by LFMs, but by guilds, guild alliance channels, and other 'powergamer' and 'semi-powergamer' chat channels.

Official answer: because VON1 is too easy.

Unofficial answer: because they want to sell more huge ingredient bags by overloading us with stuff that needs to go into the bag and doesn't stack with things already in the bag.

I've been having it with one quest: Epic ADQ.

I'd like to think its from people being on timer, but that'd be hoping for too much. Most likely its due to the horrible design of the dungeon that made the devs call it "epic."

Mordenkainen's Disjunction doesn't make anything epic in this game, it just makes it corny. ESPECIALLY when we can't launch it at the DQ and hope to eliminate the special effects on her khopeshes or on other mobs to make sure they don't break our DR.

Otherwise I have no problems with epic raids/quests. Maybe I just have the right chat channel :p

If you are finding your guild a little small another bit of advice that has worked for me in the past is to ally with another guild.

Generally you will run a pug or two with fellows from another guild that could be a nice fit. Have a chat with them and see about setting up a channel between the guilds.

Helps to increase the chances for finding a few more on for them epic runs. Good luck.

DQ1 would be run more if there was a second shrine. Having only the 1, and only accessible right before the end fight is just more PITA than people want to deal with for a dungeon token. Not when there are so many easier ways to go.
