alakhazam.com? lol wait nvm that's for Warcrap
but it sure would be nice to have somthing simular to alakhazam or wowhead for DDO where ppl can pricecheck items who knows it might actually even help out the AH by balancing the prices to a medium going price, and i know it hurt the gold farmers qiute effectively in World of Warcraft in the past and we got plenty of them here on DDO
...just a thought/idea for somthing new that and curious of other people's thoughts idea of a 'DDOHEAD' . com

ZOMG!
Well, I will say this for Allakhazam... they're a good database for MMO info, and I did win a drawing for a nice gaming mouse from them :-P

Man, I loved Alla's back in the day of EQ raiding. Invaluable it was.
Part of what will help is a text search on the AH. That will be huge. Now if we can convince them to steal an idea from Co* (and possibly someplace else, that's just the first game I could think of that uses it). In that game, you not only get a listing of prices, but you get a history of what that sold for on the last 10 transactions.
Sure, it'll be a bit more involved given the Diablo-esque loot generation, but still doable.
What would be ultra spiffy is to remove a bit of the text entry required for searches. Let's say I want some Twilight Mithril full plate for my X Wizard/1 Fighter. Click a dropdown box for the prefix, click a dropdown box for the material, drop down box for the form (in this case full plate), search and results show up. If I'm more specific, I can fill in the "plus" box with the minimum acceptable value.
If I want a +5 holy burst metalline sickle of pure good, fill in the plus box, choose holy burst, choose metalline, choose sickle, choose pure good, and search. More reliable than typing in "+5 holy burst metalline sickle of pure good", because it doesn't get affected by typoes. Granted, they'll still want a text/search box anyway, especially for things like unique items and collectables, but a search form would be an invaluable addition, IMO.
