Taking Laptop/Gaming on Holiday

In a fortnight I'm going on holiday and I can not decide if to take my laptop with me when I go or not, also if I should play DDO while away. I live in Britain and I'm going to holiday also within Britain, so no flights involved, but will be traveling on trains there and back.

On the plus side: Free wi-fi on trains is available and could use laptop for other things.
On minus side: I'm on holiday, I should be doing other things.

So does anyone have any advice on this, suggestions or experience of playing DDO while not at home.

I brought my gaming laptop all the time on vacations. Its good for checking local weather, finding entertainment sites, theme parks, restaurants, printing boarding pass, etc.

Of course, its good for DDO. Also for other games that does not require an internet connection.

Things to watch out for though, just make sure you have a laptop lock with you at all times; or to make sure you have the laptop in your eye sight at all times.
