Hello;

I've played a couple characters (Rogue, Fighter, Cleric) and would like to try multi classing but I would like to get some advice from more experienced players out there.

I have started a Warforged Rogue currently at level 3. I would like to concentrated on Rogue Skills, Defense(not a squishy!) and Ranged Attacks. Mainly I want to be able to sense and disable traps, without being so easily squished and I enjoy ranged attacks on enemies.

I've done a little research on the forums and have been thinking about doing Warforged Rouge/Ranger/Wizard mix.

The wizard part is because I would like to be able to repair myself somewhat. Taking the Repair spells would be my focus there.

How many levels of each do you think I should take? 13 rogue, 6 ranger & 1 wizard? or 13/3/3? When should I branch out and leave the pure rogue path?

Thank you for your advice!

On such a build as you describe, I'd say go 11-12.

I wouldn't take 1 wizard just for the use of repair wands - I'd take it for the free feat if I was going to take it at all. With the rogue levels, you'll be able to UMD Reconstruct scrolls when you need it the most.
