There are few things DDO lacks as a game.
1-) Communication Skills.
Skills like diplomacy, intimidate, bluff should be able to change the flow of game. In ddo these skills only have combat puposes. Only a few nps can be persuaaded. With this skills players shouls be able persuade npc/boss/moster to fight or not, change quest reward, betray and fight for him, etc.
Also choosen dialogs should be able to change players alignment freely between good-evil and lawfull-chaotic. This changes might effect different alignments in party so i propose this effects every party member seperately based on their choose or just party leader (only party leader should be allowed to make conversation wtih this npc).
2-) Quests based on sex and race or alignment.
There should be some quests trigered only if the party leader is from wanted sex or race (maybe both)
ie. Male dwarf for a mission about a dwarven clan.
Quests for only lawfull good
3-) Alignment
There are alot of forum threads about this. Like why there is not a evil alignment. People say this is a heroic game so u r supposed to act like one ...
If u check quests it is clear that in some quests you dont play as a hero also i can be clamed u are the villian. What is so heroic about killing misguided civilians ? A true paladin can persuade this people with diplomacy skill. On the other hand a paladin who kills civilians would become fallen.
If alignments are dinamic Turbine can make profit by selling items to change it.
4-) Party Alignment
There sould be some restrictions for creating party for different lignments.
ie. Chaotic evil vs lawfull good
5-) Tomes for increasing skills or changing spent skill points.
6-) Epic classes like dragon disciple
7-) Epic feats
8-) Lvl 20+ chars
9-) Epic spells
10-) Epic songs for bard
SIDE NOTE: I like spell/day system more then mana system.
