Superior Glaciation Grind

I spent two very dull days grinding for all the bits necessary to get Superior Glaciation VIII this weekend. After testing it out all I can say is, "Wow". That was a serious grind, but totally worth it for me. Polar Ray consistently hits between 480 and 520 now, with crits well over 1,000.

I was just curious how many others out there made it through the grind and got Superior Glaciation VIII or even IX, and whether you think the grind was worth it.

I didn't grind for superior glaciation IX. I grinded (ground?) for purple coins for recipe 5, and incidently ended up with enough for superior glaciation IX on the side.
