new pale lavender question

i read that in patch 5.1 pale lavender ioun stone had some changes. I read now that the number of charges drained when hit from a spell , are based on the spell level. Should this mean that if i am hit from a lvl 8 spell i loose 8 charges ? Lvl 9 spell 9 charges ? And so on ?

Wow, if that is true, I feel sorry for the people paying 3+ million gold for the supressed power ones in AH right now. Even if they are rechargable, on higher level quests it definately would not take long to burn though the 20 charges if it counts by spell level, not spells cast.

The number of charges was changed, too. Though I'm uncertain which is intended, I have seen pre-patch ones updated to 90, 18/rest and newly created ones made into 50, 15/rest.
