"The Fallen Knights" (Guild Level 45) is the leader in guilds. We have a policy that if you do not play at all within a weeks time, you will be considered a non-player & we can't have non players in a guild. That's not what makes a guild strong! What makes a guild strong is active members actively helping one another on a daily basis & that's what "The Fallen Knights" is all about. A real guild for REAL Players! It was 45 & 42 when this thread was posted.
Maybe it motivated those Renown Farmers 'R Us dudes :)

I have many happy friends having fun in the Fallen Knights. Most of these are new players, casual players or people who've returned after a long break. Pretty much the same kind of environment as Ransacked or Epic Fail was back during the days it was half the server.
If you enjoy having a large chat room of many people of varying skill levels (whether it's to ask for advice, quickly form a group or see/help new players have fun) The Fallen Knights might be perfect for you. Would totally put a character of mine in there if I had more unguilded active alts. :)

Why all the rudeness?
The OP said the where the leader in guilds at guild lvl 45 -that is true. So they are the nr 1 guild.
Didnt say anything about quality or any other standards that other people choose to count as nr 1 what i can see in the post.
So why all the rude comments? Are not every guild on this server allowed to put up a post to search for members?
Oh and just because u can behave in any manner you want while u type on a forum dont mean u have to lol.

*burp* So yeah, been having to feast a lot on posts where people are making derogatory comments towards other guilds. We have a long standing policy that such behavior is not tolerated (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=18397).
If you are on these forums, and you make "avoid so and so" or "avoid X guild" posts, you will end up in my belly where your flesh will be slowly digested, leaving behind whatever precious treasures you have. These treasures will be liquidated and then donated on your behalf to the random treasure system, where you will encounter them again in your next life when you open a chest and find +1 wooden clubs, plain robes, and 4 kinds of lesser value gem stones.
Just food for thought.

This is a bi-product of the quoting function. Posts that quote naughty post disappear as well automatically. Generally if they were naughty they shouldn't be repeated anyway, so it's best to not quote such material.

So you mean to tell me that criticizing others on the forums like this is not allowed on these forums? Interesting...very interesting. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll be sure to take my business someplace else then.

It's just as well really. By-product or no, angry quote replies are part of the mess too, so it's perfectly fine to have them all vanish. No more eyesore.

Not what the Cube said. IF in your critique of another post, you use the same "offensive material" that you are critiquing, via the "quote" function, then all those posts linked to the source will be consumed. If your critique did not link "ie quote" the source material, it would be unlikely to suffer the same fate.

Agree totally but some of those posts actually contained some useful info, hints and defence for the OP - those have been lost.
Sure the anger freaks deserve it but others were more helpful to the OP for sure so that maybe with some care and attention the guild leader and its officers - cud have been fed that info back into FK's and possibly help them on their path to glory....
For my part I should perhaps of realised that using humour to help soften a post and also quoting others more impolite replies in my posts could cause the OP to loose his responses, which afterall is what forum postings are there for. For my error I will apologise - nothing i posted was supposed to be in any way derogatory to FK's.
Pfft all that typing gone to pot.. but I think in the time the posts were up, at least some saw the anger posts by that supposed guild leader - just kinda hope it doesn't drift back into game.

I think this just confirmed my suspicions!! I have said for a long time that if you make a Moderator, or an in-game GM angry....(ie.. telling a GM " thanks for nothing" or " you guys are worthless") that it will result in a negative modifier being placed on your random loot tables.
That being said I have learned the error in my ways and no longer partake in this type of behavior, but I am sure my -4 loot is still tied to my accounts .. lol!

Guild bragging, and bashing, was inevitable once adding in renown.
"My number is bigger than your number, so I am better" - and then cue the attacks/sarcasm.

Only if you're 12 years old, or have the equivalent thinking capacity.
Adults will say 'So you have the highest renown level on the server? How nice for you', shrug, and continue on their merry way.

Totally agree - which is basically what I said in my posts prior to the thread being modified. (ok I may have placed some light hearted humour in there which might have been misconstrued but was not meant to be harmful, and for which I have apologised for).
However -
Bieing #1 guild in an RP system really means very little only that your guild has healthy numbers and or plays regular. Todays #1 guild in the ranking is tomorrows old news cos eventually every guild will be at the top - so what then??
Caution is needed tho as quality rarely stems from quantity and this game is ultimately measured by your own opinions of both yourself and your guild - "My guild is the biggest were the most awesome and were the best cos....... " this kinda thing only leads to guild flaming, and personal venting like what was apparent in this thread only yesterday.
That particular guild leaders' attitude is most likely replicated back into his own guild and into the game in general.
I would rather have players from a guild who may not be as great tactically or experienced in the game itself rather then over opinionated, anger fueled players like we saw here yesterday. You can help some players to get better - but changing players whole attitudes, especially when they have such an infantile one as that person obviously did - well thats much more difficult
As i said previous - well done to FK's for reaching lvl 45 so soon, its an achievement of sorts, but also well done to Over Raided, to get so far with alot less players is in itself also a fair achievement. But actually every guild in some way has something to cheer about in the RP system if your working hard to gain those RP's... well done to you all.
But at the same time no guild should overlook the quality of its player base and its attitudes. Good leadership from its leader and his/her officers is what lays the foundation of gaining good guild reputation amongst the playing community, poor leadership and attitudes will stick out like sore thumbs I am afraid to say.
That said I think every guild is in there own way doing well, they are playing the game, getting beter at it and all are having fun - so hopefully we will all eventually meet at the top of the mountain with our own little flag to say we did it!

The renown argument's no longer even pertinent. I thought Orien was supposed to be the drama server that tends to be quiet about it? Why are we still beating a dead horse? Let it drop people...

Amusing use of synonyms, but call it like it is. It's beating a dead horse.

Not in a derogatory manner. It is against the forum guidelines.
I see nothing wrong with disagreeing with someone on a civil basis.

You do realize that you have "taken" the name of Blood, one of the most notorious players on Argo, who has come to Orien to spread his death and mayhem.
Watch your back for you never know when Bloodhumps may sneak up on you or when Bloodsoulz may "forget" to toss you a heal.
(By the way this is all in jest.)..:D

The only issue I see is the advertisement implies that all other guilds are not "real".
So I can see why there may have been some rude comments or why some people may have felt insulted.
I in fact am part of a very small guild that recently hit 20. I find that we are very "real".

Hmmm recruiting via LFM's and chat tabs (which I again saw you doing today again ) without even knowing who your recruiting, what playstyle they bring, there attitudes and experience is hardly grounds for calling FK's a strong guild im afraid.
As stated previous well done for climbing the RP ranks but beware quality and quantity rarely mix well.
BTW isnt it against DDO rules to recruit this way - LFM / Chat abuse or summing like that....

Hmm TBH I never actually read it to imply that but what I did hear was that they help one another and grow stronger. That is something I think I would have to question, having quested with many of them at low to mid lvls lateley - more effort may be required from their Leader and Officers in this area. But there guild activity in general looks pretty heathy so that in itself is a good advertisement for a growing guild.
But, as with many large guilds I guess they hit the issue of not knowing everyone, not knowing what players are lacking and of course organising guild parties / raids in which to steer new players and help them gain a good foothold into the mechanics of the game.
But if FK's are merely looking at it from a numbers game to gain RP's then I guess they may lack the impotus to address this area but will undoubtably hit the magical Lvl 100 first..... claps, cheers, whistles......bump, thud !!!
Personally I prefer a smaller more personal guild where players get along, everyone knows everyone, they are recruited on merit and likewise are able to then recruit like minded players that they to believe offer something more than RP's to the guild.. old school I guess but I will stick with it.
