wanna give this shout out to the guildies involved in completing this quest

this is the hardest epic imo to date. that end fight is rough.

We definitely worked for that token! Rough rough quest, but really fun. Definitely the most difficult epic so far, at least until someone comes up with a brilliant strategy for it.

Not sure if anyone else has been insane enough to try this quest BUT, here is what I would do if we do it again for Fraps.

1) For the Elemental fight, send in ranged with no invis, evasion based ranged class is prolly the best suited but others can do it i'm sure.
2) Once at the "spot" they cast/use meteor swarm or other AOE dam spell on the landing rock just ahead and on the Elemental rock area. Now they should have a pretty good hold on initial aggro. Let them take a few shots at each to solidfy aggro.
3) Group comes in under invis, goes directly to elemental rock, dance casters, focus dps on ele, put down lots of AOE firewalls, whatnot. The key to beating the ELE is to keep the 20 other lvl 36 casters from sending in Meteor Swarm on the group. So the ranged tank needs to keep moving targets and popping them while recognizing if one is attacking the group.
4) The last fight is a kiting fight. Caster in first FW FW FW FW everywhere, run everyone around the tree, main healer on the caster. Group picks off enemies one at a time like we did. Maintain till all are dead.

If using this as a basic premise, and taking your time and being patient, I suspect:
1) ALOT fewer deaths
2) a much faster completion time
3) a small repair bill vs a 2nd mortgage of your ship.

It was fun as a first epic, look forward to more...

we saw this post and decided to give it a try. Didn't seem very hard. Granted most of the group had run Epic before unlike your group. Stunning Blow and Dancing Balls with Mass Hold Monsters make this quest pretty easy. I didn't use a pot and bypasse a shrine.

Nope not at all. I think class mix and abilities play a significant part in what the strategy will be. We went with alot of casters, prolly not ideal but alot of fun just the same.

We had the caster kite certain Mobs around while the melee's all went to town on the dogs....picked one off at a time. We did this a whole month after you guys did it and posted it....so I just wanted to make sure everyone knew I wasn't coming on here as a contest or anything.

On a side note Spyder how did you make your pics so much better than mine? I tried fixing it several times but it still cameout blurry? Does it have to do with my resloution? Sorry for the derail too :).
