last days of EU DDO - can we have those days free??

can Turbine and Codemasters do one last favor to us, Europe players?? can we have those last days of EU DDO for free?? many players would like to sort their characters, their inventories, their banks and so on before the transfers.
but we cannot subscribe for that one last month anymore.

i have account on US server and i have some characters with the same name there as well as in EU server. i would like to delete some before the transfers.. i would like to sort their items.. simply be ready for transfer.

can we have some sort of 'welcome back weekend'?? please??

maybe Turbine have to allow permision to CodeM to give us free play, so i hope Turbine will notice and listen to us..

Nope, CM runs the sub service in Eu so they would have to allow us access to our accounts before time runs out. I had hoped that on Aug 19th they would have activated all accounts to have one last party before the servers got sent to the old age home :/

coz there is no any info, if we get all our items transfered, yet..
and as i as many others would like to know what items we all have exactly in all our inventories/banks. just in case.
we just cant log in anymore and will have to wait for Turbine to officialy annouce what will be transfered, and what not. but you can image the wait and the uncertainty of whats to come.

You can't create new accounts anyway. The request is to open up existing accounts to be free to play (as
a networking engineer, I refuse to write FTP ;) ) on the European servers. People with existing accounts get
the 5000TP regardless of whether their subs are currently active or not hence there are no shenanigans.
The request is simply to permit access to prepare for the 'move'.

All items in sharred bank will not be copyed over so they will be lost. Why the hell cant they let us sub for the last month to sort stuff out. I know i have some good stuff in my sharred bank and it will all be lost.

I agree that to let people to create new subscriptions now would be a bad idea. However, to open up for old subscribers for a weekend or a week would be great.

Reason we would like to sort out stuff is that it is possible that all our characters from the EU will put us over the character slot limit when we import, and that those over the slot limit will be locked until we pay for those extra character slots.

For example: Say you currently have 4 characters out of 10 on your US VIP account. You get to transfer all your 16 characters from DDO EU. That would equal 20 characters and put you 10 over the limit. Some of these old characters will only be banks characters that you could delete, but you need to access them to get the stuff they have before you can delete them. So it is stupid to buy 10 extra characters slots when that pruning and sorting could have been done before the transfer.

i'm a bit worried that my large ingreds bag with all my shroud stuff is in my shared bank.

its also a lot easier to clean and delete characters when you have full access to them, so you can swap about bouncing between characters getting everything squared away.

after the transfer we will have to only activate characters we intend to delete, then rely of fuzzy memory as to who we should send what to. its going to be a real pain in the seating device.

then you have to add nostalgia into the mix and it would be great to see our old homes one last time before they go.

Ah, that's why we write F2P. Also because we don't know the difference between two and to.

I'm all for not substituting numbers on a phonetic basis because it usually looks like something a 14 year old would type but F2P is one of those rare ones that seems more descriptive than the alternative... FTP reads file transfer protocol to my brain.

I think you guys misread the F.A.Q. You have to create a new global account to transfer your euro account to. You are not going to be able to transfer those characters to an existing NA account.

Also the global servers you will transfer those accounts to are supposedly not going to be the same as the existing NA ones.

I speciically asked the European CR about this and he said you can transfer to an existing account:

It applies to all DDO accounts, open or closed, but not banned.

You will be able to transfer to an existing DDO:U account or create a new one for this purpose.



Also the global servers you will transfer those accounts to are supposedly not going to be the same as the existing NA ones.
No, because then it wouldn't be possible to transfer to an existing US account. They are just calling it "Global" now, since Turbine at a later date will offer DDO in several languages.
