Shield mastery and imp. shield mastery worth it?

I'm leveling a "cannon fodder" fighter. The build includes these two feats, but 6 extra DR while shieldblocking seems weak and not worth it.

Is there anything that I'm not aware of?

If you're trying to tank, 6 extra DR while blocking is worth a ton.

If and only if you plan on tanking, intiming, turtling. If not, then no.

Correct if you are Intim Tanking a lot it is very nice added with defender and golden greaves
