View Full Version : Not-So-Known Issue?

After my third set of wraps and about 2 hours of testing and wondering if I was going nuts, I submitted a ticket, and was referred to this from the known issues thread:
Crafting: The 'Force Critical' and 'Force Damage' rituals from the Stone of Change do not apply appropriately to handwraps.
1. LAME
2. No wonder they don't have GS wraps.
3. Like monks need more weapon issues.
4. It's been broken for a while now, no ETA on fix.
5. Ingredients will not be refunded.
This issue needs a bit more publicity so I am just putting it out there.

Did you try running it back thorugh the stone of change afterwards?
I heard that was the fix...

Define "Running it back through"
Running it back through = put the handwraps by themselves in the stone of change and click the button.
I have a set of handwraps with force crit on them and they work like a charm.

I will try this, but it REALLY bugs me that CS didn't mention this in either of my tickets...
And we need a "Known Workarounds/Fixes" Sub-forum for just this reason.
Thank you for the help, this should be stickied till we get that other forum.

Definitely works, fixed all 3 wraps, Force Crit and Force Damage
They probably don't have any idea. I doubt any of the CS reps actually play the game. Likely they are just in a "call center" type of environment and give support to several games so they don't know all the specifics of each game. Its a shame really, but I am glad you got your handwraps working. Force crit on some +10 stunners is badass :D

I never mentioned they were +10 Stunners....

So you mean you started with say +1 Force handwraps of Stunning +10
then applied via the Rituals
+1 force damage ritual
+1 force critical ritual
And now get 3 effects?
I'd always only crafted one or the other, heh.
How did you get all 3 working?

You can't put force damage and force critical on the same weapon. The most recent one will override the other, so if you do force damage and then force critical you'll only have force critical. What the OP was saying is that multiple wraps were used in the stone of change. Some with damage, some with critical.
I personally am now the proud owner of +2 flaming burst/Icy burst/force critical handwraps of stunning +10. Love em! (Yes that's 3 different effects and stunning)
You can tell if the force ritual worked on them by inspecting yourself after equiping the wraps. If you don't have 'force damage' or 'force critical' in your list of buffs put the handwraps back in the stone of change by themselves and activate. Then it should work just fine.

Have confirmed that this workaround does indeed work, so until it's fixed to not require the extra step will add this info to the KI list. My handwrap wielder rejoices!

This workaround does not seem to work on devout handwraps though. I have non-working force damage and stone of change rejects them. This might be due to my devouts being bugged with risia ice games as half year ago I tried ice ritual on them and somehow it got applied but never worked. Does not matter to me much anyway as grind for devouts killed all my will to play monk and he's sitting as a mule since that time.

Oh I haven't forgotten the ring effects. See the 'most numbers on crit screenshots' thread. I have the afore mentioned handwraps, flaming from henshin mystic set, sneak attack, and holy burst. Soon I'll have shocking burst aswell.

No, I was referring to my +10 stunners with icy burst + acid + force burst :D

How do you have acid, force burst, and stunning on one weapon? Acid and force burst are both prefixes.

It was the point of thread. There are simple crafting in market. He added icy via risia and the force via market. Hit up previous link re: recipes.

I know how to add force CRITICAL to my weapons, I have icy burst/flaming burst/stunning 10/ force crit on one set of wraps. I said that already once in this thread.
He said force BURST, which is different than force CRITICAL. If that was simply a typo and was meant to say acid, icy burst, force crit, and stunning then it is obvious how that is possible.

You can't do any rituals at all on named items. Only randomly generated ones.

Nah, the normal alchemical ones should work fine on named items (force damage etc.)

So does that mean it is possible to craft Force Critical (Alchemical Bonus) and Icy Burst (Risia) on one item and they both work properly? I thought only one Stone of Change bonus applies to the items. Can someone confirm this pls?

I have added both frost and force damage to my Devout Handwraps, neither of which actually work. I have tried the trick of putting it in the stone again, but it has not worked. I tried submitting a ticket, but they just said it wasn't a known issue so they would not help me with it. Is there any way to get this working? They've been broken for a good 2 weeks now.

Named items like Devouts don't qualify as randomly generated loot and are not intended to work. At least as I understand it.

I have icy burst and force critical both working on my +2 flaming burst wraps of stunning +10. Both work.
You can't put icy burst on devouts because they are named wraps. They are not 'randomly generated' as the recipe calls for.
