Stalwart Defender splash levels

I am working on the specs for when I TR my intimitank. Right now he is Fighter18/Rogue2 which seems to be the basic choice for a hardcore Timmy. What I am wondering is, do we need the second level of Rogue for evasion? How useful do you feel it is? Of course I still want one level of rogue for UMD and Pick Lock, and possibly some other rogue skills when I TR. These are some other thoughts of mine that I've been thinking about:

18fighter/1rogue/1barbarian - Splash level of barbarian would grant the 10% base run speed bonus, which I would absolutely love to have. It would also help a little bit with DPS. I know the rage would only be breif, but wouldn't be bad to use against raid bosses. Also, lvl1 barb gets Barbarian Power Attack I, so +1 damage/-1 hit for our power attack.

18fighter/1rogue/1monk - Monk splash seems viable. I know that the wisdom bonus won't work when turtled up with armor and a shield (however I don't know how monk stances work when armored/shielded.) Pros: another extra feat (who doesn't love more feats?) and also the possibility to switch to a robe and duel kopesh for Air Stance attack speed. (Does this work with non-monk weapons? I really am unfamiliar with monks.) Even if it doesn't... I would really like an extra feat. lol.

Thoughts/comments? Again, is evasion really worth it?

Honestly my 12 fighter/6 pally/2 rogue has high saves so that evasion goes to use plus i have high umd,ac,intimy as well as being able to do somwat dps with smites,kopeshs, and stunning blow.

Nope. Monk stances only work with monk weapons.

I don't think I'd splash 2 levels on a fighter without getting either evasion or pally saves.

Is 10% attack speed and +1 damage worth evasion? Same with a feat from monk - one thing fighters have is feats and you would be taking another 0 BAb level 1 splash - not worth it IMO.

I dont think the Monk stuff works at all if you have a shield or armor on.
so I think thats just out... I feel evasion saves me from a lot of damage even at the highend when chain lightning or other AOE's are being tossed around .. I cant get my reflex that high ... it sits at 28ish but thats not bad.. 32 with GH and bard.
so its still ok, gives you a 50/50 shot at avoiding damage and any help with that helps the healers.
