It's cool that smaller guilds will get some sort of bonus, but that came with an unintended (I think?) consequence: larger guilds with only a handful of active players and a lot of people taking a break are now considering kicking all the old timers out in order to get this bonus.
that seems very much like the wrong answer to me.
suggestion: base the bonus not on actual guild size, but active-only guild size. what defines an active player? someone who logged in in the last x period of time (I was thinking 30 days) and the rest just don't count towards the size of the guild.
benefits:
1. returning players aren't left in the cold.
2. current members (many of whom may not even be officers) aren't stuck having to kick old members or form a new guild just to avoid the penalty.
