hey a friend of mine wanted to TR his multi TRed monster build into a max DPS paly and asked me to put together a build for him so I thought I'd share it with the community.

Be warned that this is a double TRed 36 point build expecting multiple +4 tomes and the best equipment in the game (2 epic chaosblades for starters) but I am confident that no other build in the game for any class will out dps you on evil outsiders and you will probably still out dps most exceptionally geared barbs and fighters on velah and other non-evil outsider mobs.

Afterwards i will post starting stats for this build not using a +4 cha tome or +3 dex tome for those who do not have them, but unless you have epic chaosblades I prefer to splash 2 monk on my palys. For that build keep an eye out as I will be posting my dizzy (18 paly 2 monk) build later on which is a much less gear intensive build.

while i dont like not fitting both toughness and greater false life on any char, my splashed 2 monk human paly starting with 16 con currently has 548 standing unbuffed hp so you should easily be over 500 without yugo pots or rage or any temporary stuff.

A 36 point halfling paladin with guile up to 3 will out dps the human version. You lose +1dmg off 15 starting str vs a16 but gain 6 off the guile enhancements. Guile also applies equally to both hands. So as long as you dont have aggro the halfling would be ahead.

it will be rare that this build doesn't have agro.

I disagree. Its all about knowing when to kick off ES/DS. I also run with solid melees and intimitanks. In raids you most likely wont have aggro all the time. There for dishing out more dps.

as a paly you should never not be dishing out DS. its an unlimited resource that adds to your dps. if you are ever not spamming it every time the cool down is up unless it is to ES you are gimping your dps.

Personally my guild on cannith only ever uses an intimitank for epic dq2 and even then only if he happens to be there and is off timer. other then epic dq2 raids are just faster with another dps rather then an intimitank and we have no problems with healing.
no class with any weapon in the game comes close to 2 epic chaosblades in terms of raw dps so i do not see how you think any other class could possible take agro from this build.

Ive capped two paladins and have more in the works I know how to run them. You said the human is max dps. Its not. A halfling version will do more dps as long as someone else has agro. Its simple if you pull aggo you allow the others to reaquire and go back to it. Its about knowing how to play and getting the most out of it.

Aren't Paladins AP starved enough? Will he be able to fit it in?

Its worth a shot, I agree, but it might be a little tight.

the enhancements spec i didnt post has the human racial exhancements of adaptability and greater adaptability (str and cha) and human improved recovery 1 so there are 8 ap available, i believe it is 10 for halfling guile 1-4, but you could probably fit it in somewhere if you really wanted.

as to knowing how to play my paly, i rolled my paly on cannith on mod 9 launch and have been in nearly every server first on the cannith server, i don't know the quality of player you raid with but i assume its just as high, perhaps it is just our style of play that does not use intimitanks and such. We typically have a me (with a different build however, 18/2 paly / monk dps) or a barb holding agro in raids like tod or vod, and in raids like von 6 epic, shroud, and dq2 epic agro is mostly random and bounces around so you wont consistently have sneak attacks from halfing guile.

my personal feeling is that if you have to hold back ur dps to not take agro, you are lowering your potential dps more then the benefit you'll gain from halfling guile 4.

Its really tight. I played with the planner a few times. You can squeeze in guile 3. But no question its tight. Its not something Id do until 20.But guile 3 is still +6 sa per hand.

The other thing is if he is pulling aggro from other sources that would mean his dps is higher. :)
