Hey guys, I'm pretty unhappy with my 20 KoTC at this point. The paly changes have taken a bit of the fun out so I'm thinking of converting him into a intim build. Because of the LR limitations +3 or +5 I really dont have a lot of play in this, so I was considering 2 options and want to see what opinions are out there:
1. 15 Paly, 5 Fighter
2. 15 Paly, 3 Fighter, 2 monk (not sure how the 2nd level of monk plays into this yet)
I'm leaning towards the 15/5 build - I've done more work that way in the character planner and looks like a 60 intim is very possible if not a bit higher.
Does any one have a build they'd like to post that's similar to this? I'm wide open to options (thought about doing rogue instead of the monk also)
Currently his gear is pretty typical: Heavy DT armor, TWF (but has a few decent shields to work with to go into turtle mode) etc...
Also have +2 tomes on all stat's for him.
Thanks
stay pure paladin run vault of the night until can get an epic sword of the shadow and get the silver upgrade for it you will be happy you did. as a good back up the weapons of good works for ya on any silver weapon or metaline weapon to beat on most end game bosses.
If ya ain't wasting any +3/4 tomes yet, why not TR your pali, if you want an intim? Assuming the pali past life feat works, it's a decent perk on a tank/intim. Then you will have a little more freedom to rebuild and additional stats.
That said, I really like playing Pali's, always have. KotC is pretty fun for a large chunk of current end game.

+5 LR hearts? I never knew this!
18/2 Pally/Monk
Quicken, maximize, conc opp and a torc, human heal amp, 20% heal amp on a ring, sup dev 4 pots, devotion enhancements.
= 170-200 cures for 60sp, Evasion and great saves.

Why 5 levels of something else?
If you are taking fighter, either take 2 or 4.
2 Levels of fighter give you access to 2 extra feats, Tower Shield Proficiency(Feat), Intimidate as class skill, Fighter Strength I(enhancement) and Fighter Intimidate I(enhancement).
4 Levels of fighter will give you on extra feat, access to Weapon Specialization(Feat), Fighter Intimidate II(enhancement).
If you have 18 levels of paladin, you can have the final enhancement of the Prestige enhancement you chose.
My paladin only has 2 fighter levels, has the whole twf feat line, Skill Focus -Intimidate (Feat), Force of Personality(Feat), Combat Expertise(Feat) and a few other feats. It works well as intimi tank, even though i still don't have all the equipment i want/need. Can reach 75 AC and 60 intimi fully buffed. It is a DoS build with 1 TR (previously Paladin).
Pros:
Very good to have on ANY group - flexible tanking/DPSing/surviving
Good TWF dps
Good AC when tanking
Good healing amp (5% from past life, 10% from enhancement, 20% from levik's)
Decent Intimidate
Decent hps (507 unbuffed)
Very good saves(rolled a +53 on fort when tanking horroth - fully buffed, except for bard songs)
Cons:
Needs lots of equipment
Not enough feats for a higher intimidate (can be fixed with more equipment)
Needs much higher AC to solo amrath quests, for example (10 more i guess - can probably be fixed with more equipment)
Will probably never have enough intimidate for epic Zawabi's Revenge, for example)
Overall it's a good build and i'm happy about it, and i'd summon it up to being able to dps, tank and even saving others with LoH when tanking - which happens quite a bit.
Even if you go KotC you can still maintain most if not all of these things.
Hope this info helps :)
15 pali/2 fighter/3 monk.
Quicken, maximize, conc opp and a torc, human heal amp, 20% heal amp on a ring, sup dev 4 pots, devotion enhancements...
...and...
...evasion! Also...
...epic bracers and gloves of the claw for 30% healing amp, monk for 10% healing amp, HotD for 20% healing amp, 4 extra feats, fighter haste, marilith chain+litany+dual epic chaosblades with vampirism/
epic vulkoorim fighting leathers for to-hit (you'll be trading in those spectral gloves for emerald claw ones) and evasion/epic demon scale armor to laugh at enemy casters/10% healing amp DT robes+kamas+water stance for really high healing amp and saves on top of your paladin boost to saves. Also, evasion and maxed balance from monk levels.
Healing amp: 1.3 human x 1.2 HotD x 1.1 monk x 1.3 Claw set x 1.2 ToD ring=268% healing x 1.15 3 paladin past lives=308% healing. Chaosblades deliver 3 or 6 or 9hp per hit from vampirism. If you or someone else hit with monk healing curse first, that's another 3 or 6 per hit. Regrowth hits for 15hp.
Cure serious does 21+3d6~31-32hp x 1.3 pali devotion x 2 maximize x 1.75 superior devotion pot~143hp to someone with 0 healing amp. To you it is ~143 x 3.08~440hp, quickened heal.
Save your lay on hands for the party members, probably the metal ones, as you won't be needing them.
If you really want healing amp, swap the bracers and khopeshes for Jidz-tetka and a kama with 10%/30% healing conc. op (or whatever you have on a 30% healing kama/shuriken), and use a finger necklace instead of the torc (put the necklace on first, then put on all other healing amp gear).
Don't forget healing ki when in monk mode, and that you are immune to beholder level drain as a HotD. Did I mention evasion?

That's a lot of epic stuff! ;)
To be honest, that's so much epic stuff that personally i wouldn't consider such a build. Sure it's nice and i would look forward to get those things, but how much of that can you afford to not have and still be almost the same "level"?
Btw, you will have 1 neg level when you use the chaosblade(s), but it's not that relevant tbh if you have all that equipment! :)
And you can still laugh at enemy casters even without evasion :P
