I recently rerolled my cleric with the following stats.

Human:

Strength: 16
Dexterity: 8
Constitution: 14
Intelligence: 8
Wisdom: 18
Charisma: 8

My plan was to continue to put level up points into wisdom and possibly splash a level of fighter later on to do more melee damage when my offensive spells seemed to be missing more. From reading the various threads, it seemed to me that a respec in feats would allow me to pretty easily move from a devoted to offensive caster to a cleric good at heals, bb, and a modest melee with the stats that I picked. However, with the Radiant Servant changes (no longer able to extend aura) I am not sure if the 8 Charisma will give me enough turns to make full use of the aura that I will now be getting at level 12.

I am only level 2, so rerolling again is absolutely no problem at all. I want a caster cleric that can put out damage in spells, hit things when needed, and still be a solid healer.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I believe they are changing it so that you don't get the healing aura until level 12 now. By level 13 you can pick up a +6 Cha item, so you should be fine.

If you plan on splashing fighter I would do it early rather than later, as that's when it provides the most benefit. With a high wisdom you will rarely have a problem with blade barriers not landing.

You get 3 + charisma modifier turns per rest.

Assuming you just get a +6 item and a +2 tome at some point in the future, you could still attain 6 turns as a base amount. Spending some AP, you could get up to 4 more turns, bringing your total up to 10.

At a regen rate of 2/min. and a lvl20 duration for the aura of 1m30 (unextended - don't recall the exact number) you'd be waiting on your turn regen attempt after roughly 56 minutes of non-stop aura. With just the 6 turns, around 32 minutes would be the magic number.

Thank you for the replies. I am glad to know that I don't need to sweat the low Charisma level.

When are they making this change, and where do you find out such things?

(I checked the general discussion, but didn't see anything there.)

It was posted on the lammania forum I believe and will go live with the release of U5 patch 1 (whenever that is).

He could also take advantage of the cleric charisma line (+2) - which is one of the options as a pre-req for RS II.
