While playing on my cleric, a Radiant Servant, one of the guys was talking about making an aura using paladin. So, yeah, we told him about the glitch. Next day, same guy, (we're guildies), and then... well, he thought up a Intimitank using the aura! Now, this is where I kinda stole the idea. I figured, if you're going to be using an aura, you might as well not be attacking whatsoever.

I figured a kind of... 12 Cleric 2 Fighter 6 Paladin should do. Lay on of Hands, Fear immunity, disease immunity, high charisma and at least moderate wisdom. Good Constitution as it's going to be in the fray, constantly, and getting mass amounts of agro. But... one thing, I'm horrible with building things. Ideas would be nice, tips would be appreciated, and CONSTRUCTIVE criticism would be absolutely wonderful.

Since I made it, I can't really see too many errors, but i'm not a 4 year veteran player. No, i'm startin' on my first year with a midbie as my main. :P I've played with intimitanks before, so I know how they work, and working on the cleric, but I dunno how i'll pull this off.

Some help? XD

With high saves you should def get evasion, its worth it.

Maybe 12cleric6pal 2rogue/monk ?

Monk has feats over rogue, rogue has intimi, UMD.

Edit;
Made something really quick, its just a thought, and not well worked out, but I was bored, so xD

if you want an intimicleric you can take a look at my build

http://community.codemasters.com/forum/classes-general-discussion-399/357213-ultimate-cleric.html#post5260115

and tbh i dont really see what the paladin levels give you in that split
taking those 6 lvls in cleric would net you better spells, more spells, more sp and makes the aura tick for more

Would be a lot easier to give you some guidance if you posted the build and gear.

My first thought would be that Human would be a good choice for the extra feats and Denith DM.

Im building, better to say LRing my old Cleric into Intimidating RS. Not done yet, in progress

So far i know:
- race: Human or Dwarf. Human for extra feat, skill point and maybe dragonmark. Dwarfs are tank-like by nature (armor mastery, shield mastery, more HPs, better saves)
- Paladin is not required. My saves will be good enough and even with perfect twink i'll still not have super high AC. That extra AC from aura will still not help
- as I can't have perfect AC, i'll "take" Evasion, so Rogue2+. Atlest i'll have high resistance vs elemental damage if i can't get high resistance vs physical damage
- Rogue2 also helps with skills. Easier to max Intimidate. I'll also boost UMD so I can use arcane scrolls and wands.
- I will tank Norm/Hard even Elite mobs, but will not tank Epic mobs. Thats for dedicated "defenders".

As "not paladin", can also go neutral so i'd take a bit less damage from alignment attacks. Nothing big, but handy.

My current plan is Cleric16/Fighter2/Rogue2 or Cleric15/Fighter2/Rogue3. No spells with DC, melee oriented with buffs and heals. Also some CHA for extra turns and Divine Might. Will have enough CHA for "burst", "regen" aura and Divine Mights even after nerf.

Price is no spells with DC. Not enough stat points to have solid "battle" mode (STR/CHA) and "DC casting" mode (WIS) at the same time.

It's like a Warchanter (16/2/2) but with Cleric. Weaker buffs then Bard, but better heals and some magical damage (BB here or there).

Hm... I see. I don't have very many tomes handy, Just a +1 int at the moment with no money to buy one, so I can't really have many, if any at all. I see what you're all saying, but I was going to take the paladin for Lay on of hands. An AC build tank with insane self-healing, as you could think, I guess. The paladin would also grant Defender of Siberys, something for even more AC. I don't really want evasion in this build, as I really think it'll be going sword and board with heavy armor. The best I can get my hands on, or pull.

So, I have no real, set build, though I kinda want AC, Self-healing, not too much offensive, really. How many end-game intimitanks are not turtled up 90% of the time if they're AC builds? Not too many, I can imagine. I don't want DPS, there's too much DPSers out there, and i'm not out for kill count, trap count, anything else, really. Just some build to keep the party alive that much longer. XD

Weird, aren't I?

would grant DoS,KoTC or HoTD PrE - which would give (in the case of HoTD) more turn attempts (hopefully, this is still unconfirmed from another thread) in order to power Radiant Servant abilities.

Unfortunatly Radiant Servant and Hunter of the Dead are mutually exclusive. The extra turn attempts gained from Defender of Syberis will stack though.

I'm not sure how much more beneficial 16 levels in cleric would be over 15 levels in cleric (since clerics gain news spells ever odd number). Is there something enhancement-wise that would be better then an extra d6 sneak attack? Just curious as to why you would consider the 16 levels in cleric if you're not bothering with DCs.

Are you dead set on creating a multiclass build? If so, I'll try and work up something and see if you like it. It just struck me that while the idea of a radiant servent paladin seems interesting, making one able to do what you are wanting seems a little counter productive.

Radinat Servant II boosts you caster level (for heals) by +2. RS regen aura is +1HP per 3 caster levels. 16 + 2 = 18. I'd get +1 base aura regen. If I'm not wrong, not tested yet.

On the other hand 1d6 sneak attack and extra skill points are also sweet. Skill points especially as Cleric doesn't get lots of them and build has no need for INT, tho I'd still want Conc, Intimidate and UMD maxed. Some points into acrobatics and open lock would also be nice.

Anyway i have not decided how build will end. He's at Cleric15/Rog2/Fighter1 now.
