You made a second guild called Epitaph II as a pre-cursor guild, to recruit slightly seasoned korthos players into Epitaph?

I want to be sure this is the intent before I comment further.

I better switch to the hard stuff, this is going to be good.

Its not another guild. Its a staging ground for players. Break them up into sections of 10 players and move them to the main guild when GL does weekly cleaning of the 10 most inactive that week. Add in the false sataification of being moved up to the "Big House". Its just a way to expand the guild past 1000 people and keep one guild at max cap.

Not I. All my characters are in the guild in my sig. I am just reporting. Thought it was amusing <shrug>

A quicker process would be to run a few quests with them before invites.

I'm curious about how this actually works in practice. I wanted to be able to form a less biased opinion of Epitaph so I created an alt with the intent to join Epitaph. I was not forced to join Epitaph II. I was immediately whisked into Epitaph proper.

E2 is basically an alt dump.

It is understandable that they would ask those with alts to put them in the reserve to allow those more active to remain in the main guild.
