OK so i go to made a arcane archer. did all that did like 100 quests got to level 3 when i learned that my dex only 14! when i told other people there like "are you misspelling?" and i am like no. and well they told me i need to customize so my question is this with a ftp account where should i put my points at. i know dex needs to be maxed. and what feats should i get? i know that elfs are the best for arcane being good with the bow naturally. so yeah plz post thanks! =)

dex is important but so are str (as you get the bow strength feat) and con (dead meat don't shoot). wis is mildy important too so you can cast your buffs but the most you'll ever need is 14 wis so even starting with a base 8 you can get there with a +6 item... if you can find one.

so... max dex, good str, about 14 in con, dump int, wis and cha (though maybe 10 in wis to make it easier to find appropriate items)

weapon finesse is probably a good feet as it will allow you to use your dex score for to-hit but this only works with light weapons (read rapiers)

You can find an Arcane Archer build in this thread (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=232660).

I'm not the best builder....but I would not max dex.

You need other stats high too.

Dex, Str, and Con are most important. Wiz is needed to cast Rgr spells, but you can use a wisdom item to do that if needed.

Rgrs get lots of skill points, so they don't need much Int. But I like a 10 in Int for most Rgrs.

Cha is not very important. It does effect you Wild Empathy though. I usually end up with a 10 Cha too. But honestly it's a dump stat for Rgrs.

Character Plan by DDO Character Planner Version 3.34
DDO Character Planner Home Page (http://www.rjcyberware.com/DDO)

Level 1 True Neutral Elf Male
(1 Ranger)
Hit Points: 30
Spell Points: 0
BAB: 1\1
Fortitude: 4
Reflex: 6
Will: 0

Starting
Abilities Base Stats
(28 Point) (Level 1)
Strength 14
Dexterity 18
Constitution 14
Intelligence 8
Wisdom 10
Charisma 8

I haven't built an AA, but I think something like this starting would work (modified from a 32pt I took away 1 Str and 2 Wis). A couple key points to note:

1) Put all ability levels into Str.
2) Use elf and class enhancements for dex
3) You need at least 11 wis to cast level 1 spells so you'll need a +1 item by level4 if you want to cast right away.
