Please fix /death count

EDIT: turns out if you have to be in a quest for /death count to work now.

Slayer areas don't work...just inside a quest. Generally I like to check once I enter VoD or the Hound. You should have people check their death count there so you know if they are noobs or not (only noobs die a lot)

Did you hear they also changed the old command /resloc to /death location?

It is the new way to check your bind point.

Was much better before they put the timer up, now you have to wait for the computer to calculate your death counts. Sad what this game is coming to.

/death count (How many times that char has died) *Currently bugged so use /death amount instead
/death bind (to check bind location)
/death kills (to see how many monsters your char has killed)
/death revive (To automatically use food and sp drinks when in a tavern)

All of these only work in quests though

well if i have a noob in the Party that can't get his-her "/death count" to work, i always suggest that they use the alt F4 keys to reset their hot keys. Seems to work! They never give me any problem after that.

this one is so that when you release it activates. You have to do it everytime you log in though like the bunny hats and power attack. So as soon as you get into a quest you use it so if you do need to use a tavern to top up it'll do it as soon as you near the correct place.

Don't forget about the once-per-quest 500 HP damage shot that you can do with "/death ray".


Make sure you save it for the quest's end boss, though, because you can only do it once per quest!

Hey your boss needs to get it real! send him to his desk tell him to log on in the most obscure way possible..when his noobness shows up recommend he hit the alt F4 combo prior to saving his work!!

its cause your using the wrong /command

its /deathcount ... no space

or it could be that you didnt activate it .. you know the devs never think of making things easy for us

/deathcount on/off

also keep in mind it doesnt work in raids ...

for raid deathcount you need to do

/deathcountraid

to be granted immunity to death just like the spell Celimas casts on you in 'The Grotto'

my favorite is /deathcount clear ... its a dev command so i prolly shouldnt tell you guys about it ... i found it by accident it clears death penalty and total deaths so you can get flawless exp bonus even after someone dies...

i mean really we could sit here and list all the death commands we know of ...

you could just go in game and type

it will display all the death commands in the game ...

I have a friend in guild who just broke up with his girlfriend, spends much of the game time moping and fighting back tears, and is honestly really on the edge of completely losing it sometimes.

theres actually a new command in Update 5..... /death list
it will list all of your deaths and what got the killing blow on each one. very cool.

Well, I am more than a year late in responding to this post filled with fantastic commands for new players, but you guys forgot one of the most important ones: /deathpact
This command bestows the high level cleric/favored soul spell death pact on you, which at the cost of reduced hp, raises you from the dead when you die. Good luck, this command has saved me from wiping before!
