Morning all

I reincarnated a couple old 28 point build toons the other day that were pure rangers --- This was my first attempt at this and it was simple and straight forward.

Now

I decided that I was going to reincarnate a cross class ranger bard ( rgr 2 / brd 15 )

I purchased a +1 Heart of wood figuring I could totally get rid of either class that was in the above toon .... reading further I noticed afterward I could swap any one class taken at a lvl

So here is the question ..

Hypothetically ......

If I wanted to reincarnate my bard into a pure .... lets say fighter ? Is there a way to do that through reincarnate WITHOUT True Reincarnate ?

Somehow I ended up with a 3 rgr / 14 bard on the reincarnate ( Epic Fail ! )

So basically I am stuck with a toon thats MORE broke than she was before lol and I cant do anything about it for another 6 days 18 hours and 32 minutes !

:)

From what I can tell how I did this ( which was obviously incorrect ) ... Anyways from what I can tell .. there is no way to make your current toon into an entirely different class through reincarnation ?

Is this correct ?

Thanks all

If I am not mistaken, A +3 Lesser or Greater Heart of the wood should allow you to remove those three levels, and change them to bard. Now if your question was, can you take all those levels and end up as a sorcerer or something completely different, then the answer is no. You need to either reroll or true reincarnate for those kind of shenanigans.

Hope that helped!

So it looks like I am spending another 1100 Turbine points to get my toon BACK to the way she was lol !!

Yup --- redoing feats may have been the way to go here intead lol !

You have to take the same class at the same levels you took previously - Otherwise, you would use one of the charges (with that +1 once you chose a different class at that level, you were done).

In theory, you could use three +5 to change 5 levels at a time and wait so many days, but that would only get you 15 of your 17 levels.

You might want to level up to 20 and just TR and get it over with.

Yeah, the interface in the reincarnation "interview" isn't as intuitive as one might like,
but once you understand it, it works.

When you start the leveling up process, the game will present to you, by default,
the class you took at each level. If you're trying to get rid of the Ranger levels,
then every time you see ranger as the first option, then you want to drill down into
the dialog and find Bard, instead.

Since you now have 3 levels of Ranger, you'll need a +3 Heart, but that will do the job.

Now, you didn't mention if you upgraded from 28 to 32 point build with a Greater Heart
last time. If so, you only need a Lesser Heart this time. Likewise, if you're staying
28 point, you only need a Lesser Heart. The DDO store will only let you buy Hearts
that you're eligible for, so if you see both Lesser and Greater available, you definitely
want Greater. If you got Greater last time, but only see Lesser, that's the right answer.
