I'm making a twf human warchanter. I want the 16 levels of bard for sure. I will also triclass for sure into fighter and rogue.
I'm just not sure if I should go 3/1 rogue/fighter or 2/2.

What would be the pros and cons of each of them? With 3 levels of rogue, I get to level more easily search and disable device, which is one of my goal, as well as the extra sneak damage. With 2 levels of fighter I get another bonus feat.
Anything else I'm missing?

Any advice is appreciated.

Fighter 2 also gets you fighter strength 1 enhancement - although in all honesty that could be offset by the extra int you'll need due to dropping a rogue level.

I think you have a handle on the tradeoffs: extra skill points & +d6 sneak attack vs 1 extra feat and +1 STR enh. If you're trying to be a trapmonkey, I would go rogue 3 / ftr 1 / bard 16 - and in fact I did on this build (http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=3039106&postcount=3).

Is this a good solo build? I like it... a lot and am just curious what I would do with it.

I haven't tried soloing that particular build, but it has a lot going for it, IMHO: trap skills, Evasion, pretty solid DPS (esp. once you have khopesh), good CC from Fascinate (Virtuoso would be even better CC but lower DPS), self-heals via wands & spells, good buffs (both self & party). Biggest downsides are low HPs, so-so AC, and small mana pool vs dedicated casters. Blur & Displacement help you avoid being hit and Ironskin Chant gives you some DR, but it still takes some finesse to avoid getting pasted while soloing.

Between the two choices in the OP, 2 rogue/2 fighter makes more sense for a solo build. 2 levels of rogue are enough to keep trap skills at their maximum and when there's only you for the monsters to aggro on, sneak attack damage won't be a factor very often.

You can still get SAs while soloing if you use Deception or Radiance weapons; or if you use hirelings or summons to draw aggro.
