Ok - so halflings looked like dino-riders as they ran - but at least it had style!

Now their walk looks just plain & boring & stupid...

Give me back my Halfling Walk! :)

Vote for support please! :)

Agreed. Plus did you check out the horrible new jump animation? UGH.

I hated the old halfling shuffle until I rolled my wiz/rog... she's just so cool it changed my opinion. This new walk/run is far worse.

Oooh, they're not hunched when they run. I don't have to reroll my halfing acrobat because I can't stand the run animation now?

I am going to have to check this out.

Hah! This reads exactly like an old LotRO thread. They updated the male hobbit run animation a while back and got a pretty similar reaction.

The new halfling walk is .... interesting.

Not sure if it reminds me more of a lipizzaner strutting or somone who is in dire need of finding a restroom (try walking backwards, it gets worse). It is interesting to see so many bodyparts moving in various different directions when the halfling race moves now, wonder if all this neurotic twitching is going to negatively affect my to-hit ratios? At least the old walk/run was unique.

Got to love Turbine, always fixing everything, except for the problems.

Not at all. There are plenty of reasons to dislike halfers, the old run animation was just one :D

I like way better this way.

...but he's no longer turning his head when running backwards? Now that's not safe at all! You need to fix this as soon as possible or someone could get seriously hurt! *Gently taps a baseball bat in his hand*

Now maybe I can try to run one again. I have deleted at least 4 halfing characters because of the 80+ y/o hunched style walk they had. Now I will have to try one again.

Maybe it's just me, but I either don't notice the difference or it's just as nice as the old one..I got on my halfing and started running/jumping (monk is fun!) and I definitely can't tell with the jump let alone the run..meh..guess it's nothing to complain about then :)

i think the change in the female run/walk is more pronounced that the male.

Give the old halfling walk back!

Halfling woman runs now as if she was a beast of burden. What is more, the beast is malfunctioning, as she does not look back when running backwards. And why am I supposed to play with a defective character? The old way of running was light - little steps suited the small figure well.

I back to the old halfling walk!

i think the change in the female run/walk is more pronounced that the male.

That's because the female pre U5 animation was even so much worse than the male.

I like it. Finally I can make my gimped selfhealing trap disabling sneaky halfling wizard.

I appreciate my halflings not running like a Ghoul anymore.
The earlier comparison of the new run style with a Lipizzan is spot on! :D But rather a strutting Lipizzan than a Ghoulfling.
