Why display that stupid Guild renown between brackets above the Chars...?

If you're gonna display anything - display the Characters Level perhaps?

On second thought, don't display any numbers - bracketed or not - above the chars, it just looks silly...

Lemme guess - they are trying to create an artificial competitiveness between the guilds?...

The displaying of guild renown level is a bad thing all around - for all the reasons mentioned above.

Also removing the leader/officer/member information sucks too

Particularly with the more established guilds if somone is an officer or a leader then I am more inclined to take my impression of their guild from them rather than just one of their members.

And with the tiny one man guilds running around with "Leader" also gives an impression - a loner who doesn't want to be bugged, just a group of friends, just a little boutique guild that it's easier just to officer everyone, someone running a toon up before they guild it, or a very confident individual who is indeed aiming for a large established guild one day in the future.

Now all that information is gone I think I feel like a roaming advertisement for how uber (or not) my guild is rather than the quiet achievement and fun that it used to be. I don't like that I'm-so-good-look-at-how-big-my-number-is side of it at all.

I'm hoping that this change is fairly simply cosmetic and that they'll rethink it. Am very curious as to the marketing reasons behind this? What is the psychology in it? Was any thought put into it at all?

If it was to promote competition - well der - you get that anyway. Have a leader board somewhere rather than this mess under my character name please.

I don't know - just seems a little nasty and yuck and I don't like it.

I see no good in it at all, and should be removed ASAP

Like Ive been saying for 3 weeks now, the renowned system is bad for this game! And stupid junk like the floating guild lvl is poor judgment on turbines part!
