View Full Version : DDO's latest downgrades!

I won't bother with the combat downgrades, that horse has already been beaten to death.

All guilds used to have the ability to mail a recruiting sigil to a player, which is very nice in a small guild. Now all guilds have lost that ability and must purchase it.

Logging in after being offline for 1+ hours used to restore all of your hps, mana, and clickies, that no longer happens.

Empty favor page bug? Still there. They were too busy "adding content" to fix existing known issues.

Notice any more downgrades lately? Post here!

You no longer see the stats on what you are bidding on. I want to see stats please.

That's a bug with the AH.

You don't have to purchase the ability to send guild recruiting sigils, your guild just needs to be level 5.

Logging in after being offline etc - if that no longer works, it's a bug, not intentional.

How ya gonna get to guild level 5 if renown is turned off?

So, just to be clear: If you are not a min level 5 guild, the way you invite people is to use the Invite tab in the guild panel of your UI or find someone in game and invite using the Inspect element orb option? Or buy something I suppose.

Specifically, what happens to my observation is that your equipment is applied to you after you load in, so bonuses granted to hp or mana by your equipment will not be present. or at least some bonuses: my paladin consistently loads in at 330/580 sp regardless of what he logs out at.

I second this. My SP/HP drop down as if not wearing gear and my cleric's turns also drop down by 3 since I am wearing a charisma +6 item.

You get the benefit of a full rest, you just don't get bonus HP/SP from items.

How many of us working now or previously in IT would keep their jobs if they did this three times? Twice? Once? As many as Turbine has?

Voice of the Master AND Mantle of the Worldshaper are both turned off. No extra XP from either of them. I'm sure its a bug but just wanted to post it here :)

I'm pretty sure that's because they don't stack with the 20% bonus xp for the update that is running for the next week.

It's always stacked before.

Could be they never figured out what the deal was with the voice/mantle reducing XP and, in some cases, granting negative xp. See this (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=253935&highlight=voice) thread.

Voice of the master works for me, it now works just like and stacks with XP pots and doesn't show up on the xp report.

With a 10% XP pot burning, this is the bonus XP i received, 15%:

The Social panel is missing the right column and the rest is squeezed so you can't read the last one properly - even when I stretch the panel all the way out, none of the columns are resizable (how useless).

I pulled an item that requires a minimal guild level to augment and I can't get any guild levels to augment it.

A game based on dice doesn't show dice as part of certain descriptions - except at the bottom like it is an afterthought (oh yeah, for those who wanted to find a D&D game, we don't care - we have the license so screw you!)

Spells don't last for published durations per the books. instead, they made up their own rules to get rid of spells as if you had to be within a certain radius.

Yep, don't need to mention TWF is not according to the books at all.

Why do they call this D&D again? I forget! I mean doesn't it require approval from WotC so they maintain their licensing?

You do realize that older D&D games (and some books, really old books) used the same range (1-6, 5-13, etc.). Play Planscape: Torment some time, for example! And that was way back in 1999! When TSR's logo was still on the product.

Christ, Helmet, you whine a lot.

OR..... you can have the person send you a tell, right click on their name for the pop-up, select "Invite into Guild" (or whatever the wording is)...and voila!

I did that for 3 people tonight. Easy-peezy-mac-and-cheezy!

now I know why my tank with 6 pali levels only had 9 turn attempts instead of 12 and why his SP started low even though I logged out full. This wasn't the case before today. So now when I log in I don't get to start questing right away. Now i have to go find a friggen inn to stand in until I get everything recharged. I guess they felt we need to visit the inns more since they 'prettied' them up.

Why does a flame weapon now look like DirectX 3? Ice effects on weapons still look cool, but the fire effect looks like something you would see in a game a couple generations earlier, lol. That's progress for ya. :D

No matter how hard we tried we couldn't get to lvl 5... stuck at level 4... Boo hiss etc etc

And fix the bug with the acrobat changes not applying.

WAI:

(Element) touch, (Element), and (Element) Burst weapon effects now have distinct visual FX. Korthos is no longer a sea of flame!
So, your "Fire Touch Longsword" looks a little red, your "Flaming Longsword" more so, and the old full fire effect is reserved for a "Flaming Burst Longsword".

Same for Cold Touch, Frost, Icy Burst. etc.

1. Guild Augment Slots shouldn't require you to have a minimum Guild Level unless you actually slot a crystal into the slot. Otherwise you just have a sea of vendor trash no one can use. How many new players will quit when their first boss beater they pull has a minimum Guild Level of 70?

2. Items with no Guild Augment Slot shouldn't be able to have a minimum Guild Level at all. This was seen on Lamannia and reported, but not fixed. Screenshots from live last night:

better idea...guild slot items should appear exactly like normal ones...and act like normal ones
unless your in a guild high enuff to display its....hidden qualities.

That would be more fun.

now if your a high enuff lvl bard, you might bypass that restriction and be able to tell in advance.

well, that is what bards should do

Not sure if its been mentioned as I skimmed, but the Radiant Servants healing aura gets blocked by Mantle of the Worldshapper (and as such I would assume scarabs?).

Not only is it items in the AH that don't show property descriptions, but I've seen it happen on random items in my bag and bank, other guildies have reported this too.

I'm sure I'm missing a few...
