View Full Version : AGAIN downgraded to f2p, relog doesnt help

Dear turbine,
im really ****ed off, even though i exactly expected to happen it again.
After the upgrade my account is AGAIN downgraded to f2p and again a char is locked out, i can post only 1 item at a time on ah etc etc pp.
U ppl better get that fixed soon. I dont intend to threaten, its simply after happening the same thing 4 times (2nd time for me) im fed up with the 'abilities' of turbine.

I am also experiencing this problem, same as last time, when half my characters were locked out for a WEEK.

Yeah I'm also affected. Didn't this already happen about a month ago? I hesitated to become Premium then, but after it was fixed I bought some points. Now I'm downgraded to f2p again.
What was the procedure last time? Do we all need to file a support ticket or how will this be handled (I think last time a post in a thread was enough)?

Well I can still access my toons but i can't post new threads because I'm "Free" (I'm really premium), and the contents of my expired auctions have gone (7 from the first toon I looked at). Presumably because free players can only have one auction.
I warned my guild that the premium to free downgrade would hit because it always does and even though the cause is known no-one does anything to prevent it.
Well it only took over a week to fix last time.

Same here. Last time, not knowing any better, I assumed I'd been downgraded for some legitimate reason and did as the little popup window prompted me to, deleting half my characters on the server I was logging into. Only later did I find out it was just some bug that had, for crying out loud, already hit a couple of times and yet still not been fixed.
So now, having built up two characters on those two slots again, I log in and find the same thing. Either delete those two characters...again...or wait until this is fixed. Which, as I understand it, could take a week or more. The quick fix, mind you.
Hmm. Yeah, okay. Free to play and all that but I'm a little ticked off here. How can you have the same problem multiple times, knowing when it occurs and what causes it, and yet still not fix it?
I've just started playing DDO in earnest recently. Had plans on where I wanted to take these characters and had even sat down to do the math on just how many turbine points to buy and how many to earn via favor for those mid-level adventure packs I would need soon. Instead now I'm kinda regretting the three low level packs, the monk and warforged and every other purchase I made that got me the premium account I apparently can't rely on.
I submitted my ticket on this and we'll see how long it takes for this to be addressed.

The popup clearly states that the characters will be made available to you when you buy the needed prerequisites. I think you should file another ticket if they were really deleted. I'm just glad I didn't select some of my characters, I really wouldn't want to lose any of them.

The problem I'm having is character SLOTS. Heck, I have Warforged characters sitting right there, no problem. But 2 of my 4 slots are on the chopping block because I'm suddenly free account. Can't even log in without picking 2 to delete.
As for the deleted characters, I've already replaced them with other characters and leveled them as high as the two I since deleted. No point in jumping through hoops to get back 2 characters I don't even remember, just to have to delete these 2 to make way for them. In fact, that whole thought exercise gives me a bit of headache, likely due to my already elevated blood pressure...

Unbelievable; this is 3rd time we have been downgraded, during a patch process. Once is forgivable, twice is failed quality control, but to happen a third time is just appalling.

Just to make this clear..
The characters you don't pick are not deleted. they just stay in 'limbo' until you are put back to premium. then you can access them again.
The main thing that affects us is that you can only post 1 item on the AH (if you already had more than 1 item up for sale, they will still be there (well should)but you will not be able to post anymore until 'regraded')
the plat limit is back to F2P limits.
All bought packs are still accessable ( i have verified this )

This is getting boring, each patch its the same thing downgraded from Premium to Ftp :(
Again characters stuck in limbo awaiting the fix once again on top of that we get all the other downgrades too like only 1 item per time on AH.

I started playing not that long ago, purchased some points, etc, and now I log in, and I've been downgraded to free... Well... Fine... ok... Games have bugs. Then, I come here and people are talking about how it is the third time? That's just terrible.
Also, add me to the list, sure why not.

I cannot believe it, really. When I saw the pop-up window making me disable a character, I couldn't believe it.
We have payed to get our Premium accounts. Real money! It is not fair that we get downgraded with every update. I'm not asking for an in-game gift, but a formal email saying "we are really sorry, it will not happen again" is the least they could do.

but guess what, i got kicked out of the server & now can't get back in because it say's "character is being saved"!
now i can't play at all..........!!!

We are aware of the situation, and are working to fix it. You do not need to submit an inquiry or post anywhere, everyone's accounts will be fixed as soon as possible. When we have more news, we will post an update. You can watch this thread (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=258066)in the Accounts forum for more information.
