Downtime has been extended for a 2nd hour
As a small thank you to all of us for waiting, why not reset all raid/epic timers, so once the game comes back up, we can play whatever content we like
Hope springs eternal, I guess.
I'd say downtime will get extended at least once more.
Then we'll have a crash later on tonight with more down time. And another crash either tomorrow or Wednesday.

Dude, this is just one of those things that happens when you are doing an update. They don't owe us anything.

You are right & WRONG.
If you are F2P ( Free to play )- then turbine dont owe you anything back.
If you P2P (Pay to play ), then somehow you payed with your creditcard. To essentially play & have funn.
But thats only what i think.
P.S turbine reset raid timers for all - or just P2P.

Wrong, they don't owe you anything. This is all a part of the T & Cs. They try to give us accurate times for maintenance windows but those times are subject to change depending on whether or not they run into issues.

If I was still P2P I would be pretty upset right now.
But I'm not.

Dude, this is just one of those things that happens when you are doing an update. They don't owe us anything. They felt they owed us +2 loot for weeks the last time it happened. That would be a nice thing for this delay as well.

Sweet THX turbine
& now reset raidtimers for all THX.
P.S Xp is only a problem in this game if you TR & especially second TR.
For normal chars there are soo many ( low / mid lvl) quests. JUst wery few lvl 15 ++. So basicly 20 % xp is for peops with TR .

Has anyone ever seen a major content update get completed on time here at DDO? If the game is playable for any length of time today then that will be progress, because normally not only will there be extensions, but it will probably go down a few times today after it's up, and a specific server likely will have login problems. And Im fine with that as it's the expectation and has been the norm.
Only issue I see is why they always tend to set expecations so high in their initial downtime message. Just say the game will be down until 5pm and if we're fortunate to get in earlier great. Not sure what the logic is of giving inevitable extensions instead of a chance and completing early.
No compensation is needed or warranted.

Anyone who has played online games of any kind has experienced down time before. Its not the end of the world. To those who are demanding they some how be compensated, you are part to blame for the world we live in now and why lawyers run ads on TV every 10 minutes, "I've been wronged, someone must pay".

Oh good grief.
You can't even buy a freaking soda for the amount you are demanding that they "owe" you.

Seriously? We're complaining about extending the downtime for a couple of hours and demanding recompense now?
@OP: When your mechanic calls and says he can't finish the car repairs today, do you you demand he throw in a new set of brakes for free?

Funny how it has only been a little over an hour past the original projected time and people are already saying Turbine owes them something. "OMG! I have to wait another hour past what they originally told me I would have to wait!"

Yeah, everyone gets that, though, what about the VIPs?!
Because of extended downtime, as a VIP I DEMAND that I get DOUBLE TP for the duration of the summer months!
Demand, I say! Demand!

I would say that if it's an update day and you can't be patient then maybe plan on doing something else for the day. :)

I don't think that Turbine owes us anything, but I did want to mention that I ask that the dealership pay for my warranty-covered rental car until my car is fixed instead of just the 3 days that the warranty officially covers.
And they've agreed to do that for both of the times that it has come up.

I can't believe there are people who still think an update will be online exactly when they say it wll the first time.... a couple hrs extention isn't a big deal... and worse still think they are "owed" something for it. This is how it has been from the start...

Indeed and from the start there have been those of us who have advocated that Turbine put appropriate flex time in their estimations. You know because it's smarter to underpromise and overdeliver then overpromise and underdeliver. It's project management 101.

$14.99 divided out into Hours equals $.02 per hour. I hope they send the OP his 4 cent refund "postage due". :p

Geesh. Really OP? A little extra downtime and all of the sudden Turbine owes you?
How "patiently" have you been waiting if you grumble about downtime being extended for a little while? Bet you would throw a hissy fit to end all hissy fits if it came up "on time" and then had major issues... then demand compensation for that too eh?
*grumble* Need a bloody cigarette, wrong time of the year to quit.
