i am about to cap a wiz/rog. i enjoy the ability to do traps and have evasion but am not happy with the wizard part. its nice to have more spells and be able to change them but low mana pool and slow casting speed without quicken is a bit much for me. my core friends will be tr soon and was thinking of a viable caster with traps and evasion. i put some numbers together and came up with this. i know that adding 2 pal will make a huge difference in saves but not sure if i want to give up lvl 9 spells. my thought is 1 rog, 8 sorc, 1 rog, 8 sorc and then decide either 2 sorc or 2 pal.....

you may want to find a way to put heighten in (maybe for greater spell focus)...

heightened webs are killer
heightened fod is too (+2 dc)

in the end it does not help if you beat their spellres and can't land because of low dc.

I would try to find a way to get heighten spell and quicken as some of your feats.

This is pretty muchthe build I use. Starting stats look good to me.
I plan on dumping the spell penn feats and take past life Wiz, though.
I wouldnt mess with the traps either(wont help on epic), I instead use Hide/Move silently (currently 50/50) but youll have tons of points to do whatever if you go INT based like that.
2 pally... nah not needed. you cant see it now because my account is archived, but you can get all saves 30+ on this build.
Another option is to go 2 monk and use Dex. Will save you a feat. Keep in mind you will only get one 9th level spell. If you have any questions let me know.

I confess to being curious about your build earlier, and saw that it was archived :D

Im currently overseas but I will post it on here, have to find a place to download a planner because all the computers here are DOD.
But when I do I'll post it.

i would be very grateful if you could post your build. my math might be off but im coming with only about 25 refl save on self buffs and standard items. maybe a few more with shroud crafted items.

I tend to prefer 18w/2, on the grounds that you are getting more out of insightful reflexes, more skills from a max int, and more spell slots out fo your reduced number of caster levels. My TR is going that route - 18w/2r Warforged.

here (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=257416) it is, the skill points might be a little off to what I currently have but the important things are still maxed.

Monk Earth stance gives you more HP...and people won't keep asking you if you can do traps lol
All you need is a Superior Potency Quarterstaff and you are in buisness. Oh wait you are forged...no go on the Wisdom thing.

Considering that that would work with the Abbot/Reaver Staff thats not a bad idea.
If only the skiver/greenblade were a monk weapon It might lean me more toward the Mnk splash, as I usually carry an arcane lore item & Con Opp stick (could be adapted to kama).

And since I prefer torc over Noxious embers..Maybe if the Epic blue docent is nice it will make that work.

Why, does the stance have a Wis prereq?

thanks for posting your build for me. it makes me feel alot better knowing i can still have a good refl save for evasion. i personally will be taking trap skills cause that is the theme im looking for in this toon but the main idea im looking for is the same.... :)

I think you need a positive Wisdom score for stance, I think anyway. Could take the monk levels late though when you pick up a plus 6 item. Would gain about 80 hp if you chose toughness as your 2 bonus feats and were in Earthstance including what you get for Monk. Let's see 16 from monk, 44 from toughness, 20 from extra con...yeah 80 hp at 20.

None of the base stances have any sort of pre-req. In fact, you can incapacitate yourself by going into a stance and getting a 0 for one of your stats. The level 6, 12, and 18 stance enhancements are the ones with the pre-reqs.

I've done rogue splashes and I've done pure casters and if you're just going to TR when you hit 20 then the rogue splash is okay and can make a few quests a bit easier, but if you plan on leaving the character at 20 you'll be much better off as a pure sorc.

Yeah I just found that out recently. I thought it was similar to a caster who had to have at least 11 in order to cast. I figured it was the same way with Ki thinking Wisdom was its base.
