Question on skill points

I couldn't find the topic anywhere. But how to skill points work as you increase your intelligence. Do you get to use more at level up, do previous levels count. Thanks in advance.

Base skill points are determined by class, and you get that many with 10-11 int (0 modifier). Each modifier is one extra skill point the next time you level up and any time thereafter.

Level 1 = 10 int = base skill points
During level 7 you use a +2 int tome and now have 12 int = +1 modifier
At levels 8 and beyond you get base + 1 skill points. It is not retroactive.

Ah, okay. So as a Rogue having a high int at the start would be very valuable. And to get higher int early. Yes?

Okay, then putting the extra points into int at the start is worth it long run so I can concentrate on other stats.
